Pros: All I can say to make this simple is that all the reviews on this product are dead on!
Cons: I like to fiddle with settings and there is not much to fiddle with on this TV, other than that, there are no cons.
Other Thoughts: Very happy with purchase. Had no issues with ordering through shipping.

Beautiful!!
I am very impressed with this Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ800U. I've only had it for a short time but I like what I see so far. There are no negatives to associate with this product. I don't have a blue ray hooked up to it as yet, so I have not experience true 1080p. I am looking forward to that experience.

Upgrade to a Panasonic TH-50PZ800U
This unit is as advertized, an excellent 50" 1080P HDTV. The Panasonic model TH-50PZ800U is also rated high in Consumer Reports. I would have preferred that this TV had "cable card" capability and "TV Guide", which we had on our Panasonic TH-42PX600U, 720P HDTV, that was replaced with the new 50" HDTV. Because the new TV does not use a cable card (rented from cable company) we needed to rent a higher cost HD receiver from the cable company which adds complexity. Since this is a top of the line u...

Big ticket item online-many scary stories that others had. Well, decided to save money and bought my Panasonic 50" plasma Viera from Amazon. Prices changed almost daily for item, some venders charged shipping. Be an informed buyer and check out all aspects. I saved another $150.00 by waiting 1 day. One of my best purchases ever!
The TV has been flawless for 7 months. The picture rivals a movie theater, Blu-Rays look amazing and DVDs look so much better. The only things to note is light from a window directly across from the TV will be reflected by the glass and it puts out a surprising amount heat through the front.
