Can't beat it!
Ive had this Panasonic for almost 2 months now and am extremely happy with it. Its not only a top tier TV but its also less expensive than some brands of cheaper quality. My girlfriend - who is a movie buff - has a 42 Vizio and she cant believe she spent more than I did and my Panasonic looks 100x better. brbrDont fall for the 1080p hype. Great picture quality for the price
Price was a significant contributor to my decision to buy this TV. Conversations with tv-guys made me think that I needed to pony up for a 1080, but I just could not justify the premium over the 720p. Now that I have it, I am glad I saved my money. The picture quality is great, both in high def and for normal (low def?) viewing. Whenever I have guests and the TV is on, they are blown away by the quality and ask my questions about it.

I spent a few months reviewing plasmas and lcd's both in the big box stores and online. I watch a lot of sports, and the lcd's still have the motion blurring problem (except the expensive new ones). For me, that narrowed it down to the plasmas. Like others have said, the Panasonic's stood out from the rest of the plasma's (except for Pioneers, but they are almost double the cost). After two months of comparing models & prices, reading internet reviews, and visiting stores for hours of free viewing, I finally decided on purchasing the Samsung 42" plasma, due to the family's budget.

Great TV, compared several. This one won my heart.
I literally have went through 7 tvs until I got to this one. I recently compared the Samsung SAM PN42A450. And then I found the Panasonic. With the Samsung I noticed quite a bit of blur with motion. Great for the Price Conscious
This entry level Panny plasma is just what I needed for my bedroom wall - and without the extra cost of upper tier units. I think the price is right at $799 with free shipping. Awesome. Super Value, I love my Panasonic
The picture is fantastic. I switched from a tube set so the picture quality compared with my prior TV is incredible. 720p is just fine they are not yet broadcasting in 1080p or so Im told so until that happens 720p is the best you can ask for.
