My first true HD set and it is outstanding!

A Great TV!
My choices were between the 58 inch Samsungs and the Panasonic 54G10. The Samsungs were too heavy and were said to have annoying "buzzing" sounds at certain volumes coming from their televisions. Great picture after break-in and tweaking
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I researched TVs extensively prior purchasing this TV. Both plasma and LCD have their respective strengths and weaknesses. Great Price, Great TV
I was a little hesitant on buying a TV online, but Amazon had it for $150 cheaper than BestBuy, no tax and free shipping. It shipped and arrived at my house via Pilot Shipping in 2.5 days. They were great, set it up, turned it on to inspect, offered to take away box.
Best buy offered to somewhat match but I also had $200 dollars in Amazon credit. So I basically got the 54S1 for close to the 50S1.

Excellent
I have had this TV for a month and I am very pleased with the purchase. Thye price is amazing for such a quality TV, I'm glad I didn't waste my money for an equally good samsung. Mounting was no problem, and I like the side access HDMI for plugging things in and out. I hooked this to a panasonic home theater and the sound is amazing. I highly recommend going with a panasonic surround system, they link very well. Overall I am very pleased and would highly recommend the Vierra.

Very Nice TV - Great Value
Tech Level: average
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: This is a BIG TV. The picture is very nice and the setup was a snap. The TV is not too heavy and not too thick - has a lot of inputs for new and older gear. The value of this TV is difficult to believe - 2 years ago you couldn't buy a 37" TV for this price.
Cons: The sound is just OK - not as good as my older 42" Pioneer.
