Stunning
I just got the TCP54G10. STUNNING! A little history. I have been looking at HDTVs for about 3 years, and looking at DLPs originally, then went into this year thinking LCD is the way to go. I'm glad I waited, the inverse relationship between the technology and the prices is right this year.

Just right.
I bought this TV from the local Video Only for $1850 in late May, but didn't pick it up until the Friday before Father's Day (since I got it for my father), or install it until a week later.

Wow
I finally convinced my fiancee that we needed to upgrade her old 27 inch CRT in our living room to a new HDTV and after researching for a few months, I came to the conclusion that this was the TV I wanted to replace it with. I have absolutely no regrets on this purchase. The picture is stunning out of the box when hooked up to our DirecTV HD receiver. TV is amazing, how I got it not soo amazing..
I did tons of research before buying and first bought a 50 G10 from BestBuy but realized I could get the 54 from amazon for maybe an extra 100$. I love the 54 size, a 58 would be pushing, definitely too big for the viewing distance and for my room. I hope more brands make this size. Picture quality is great!!! Nice blacks and great colors I really don't see the color inaccuracy that cnet referenced, though I've noticed a push on green here and there. I don't really know much about the whole 24/1...

Good looking HDTV

Pros: Really big(!!!), crisp picture, good selection and placement of inputs, thin form factor for a plasma, dark rich blacks. HD content looks amazing. The product information for this TV is wrong on the Amazon site. They are showing the X1 series, not the G10. So please read the product information of the Panasonic Viera G10 50-Inch for the correct information.
I told Amazon about this mistake, but they did nothing.

The Most bang for your Buck!
Outstanding picture. Blu ray is awesome. Dvd looks better. This replaced A Toshiba 57HX94 1080i CRT projection TV. I am well satified with this new plasma. Inky blacks, great color, and at $[...] how can you go wrong. THX setting seeems a little dark so I use my own custom setting. Simply Amazing
I already own a 50" Plasma and 32" LCD TV. I was pretty much set to buy another LCD TV since more and more stores carry LCD than Plasma. I also looked into LED TVs but after doing a lot of research, I gave up on LCD or LED and decided to get Plasma. amazing picture quality
The picture looks great. I was nervous about glare, but it's really not an issue. 24p mode has excessive flicker which makes that mode unusable, but Bluray movies look amazing anyway. Shipping from amazon was easy. Two guys brought the box into my house. I signed a form, and they left. No problems.
