Great picture, good sound, great value!
I've had the TV for a few weeks to evaluate it before writing a review and I can say that overall I'm very happy. Normally on a purchase like this I would tend to have some kind of buyer's remorse but so far I haven't.
The picture is great but as others have said, a bit dim on Standard. I've been using a customized Game setting for regular viewing which brightens things up a bit. The THX setting with Blu-Ray is great in a darkened room. I'm still playing with the picture settings, and...

Panasonic Plamsas: The Hidden Secret in TV value
There has to be something wrong with plasmas, right?
That's what I kept telling myself as I searched for the perfect TV for my needs and budget.

Nice. But has some very odd sides.
Finally! After struggling for a week It appears that I was able to adjust settings to more so manageable levels. Factory settings are horrible! Total of 5 ways to watch this plasma hdtv trough selecting one of these presets [Standard/THX/Game/Custom/Vivid], and only 3 of them are usable - Standard, Game and Custom. great for gaming and a good pc monitor
After 7months worth of research I decided that I was going to buy a pioneer.... then I saw this and ended up buying it. I have an XBOX 360, a PS3, and a laptop all hooked up and I have no complaints. the tv runs quietly and it the rear panel snt as hot as some claim. The built-in speaker are pretty clear and the picture is just as nice. I recommend this tv, I wish I went with the50 inch

Broke after 4 hrs of use
I bought this set during an Amazon limited time special package sale that included a $200 credit towards a Panasonic Blu-ray player. Heck of a deal. Great price on the plasma set itself and essentially got a free blu-ray. It was too good to pass. Very timely shipping and great white glove delivery service.
