RCA 25202 RE3-B - The Best 2 Line Small Office Phone Available!
I have purchased some of the most expensive multi line small business/office phones and have always been disappointed by lack of features or poor performance, until now.
I have been using this phone for over 2 months now, and here are the features I need/want that this phone provides:
BACKLIT LCD (LCD Lights up when any phone function is activated and remains on with plenty of time to see the data before automatically going off)
Speakerphone with good sound...

This is a decent phone
I am picky when it comes to office equipment and have been looking for full featured phone regardless of price. I could not find high end phone in any retail locations so I tried this one after returning the 2-line AT&T model (CID did not work with two lines plugged in). I wanted the option of an easy return if I did not like it.
I found everything to work well (not sure why the other bad review on this phone). The speaker phone works almost too well as it is very sensitive even whe...

Okay, not great
This phone is the second of two replacements for my last two duds, both of which lasted less than two years.
The ring tone is very antiseptic, and can't be changed. The volume is too low, and the keypad buttons seem flimsy.
But it's practically impossible to find a decent desk speaker-phone, and several other brands have done very badly by me, so I'm keeping this one for now.
If as and when serious problems develop, I'll update this review, but for now, t...

save yourself the trouble
I bought this phone a week ago and will be returning it because it isn't any good.
* On speaker, others can't hear you unless you're directly facing the phone, if then
* On speaker, if others fall silent and then start to talk again, you miss the first bit of what they say
* There is feedback when you switch from handset to speaker (which shouldn't happen with a corded phone)
* There is feedback when you hang up the handset unless the other person hangs up first

Disappointed with SpeakerPhone quality
The speakerphone stinks. Calling into a conference bridge, words dropped about every 30 seconds as I listened, and apparently every few words I spoke were not heard by the others on the call. One-on-one calls were no different. I took it back to Office Depot and told them I was as disappointed.
I tried the AT&T 992 and found out caller ID broke when a second line was connected. I returned it in favor of this one. This was more expensive, had similar (but fewer) features, and caller ...

Strengths and Weaknesses - overall it's good
Strengths:
1. Dual-ports for additional seperate line connections
2. Volume control for speaker and handset
3. Mini-plug for standard headset
4. Operationally easy for Voice mail set-up and memory set-ups
5. Works well with VoIP features
Weaknesses:
1. Caller ID screen has only moderate light level & not tilted quite enough for easy view
2. Annoying loud beep when pressing keys - can't adjust or turn off beep
3. Handset microphone does...

Nice features - abysmal audio quality
I'm satisfied with the feature set of this phone, but the audio quality is very poor. I put up with it initially since the feature set matched what I needed, but the audio quality has gone steadily worse. There's a permanent hiss on the line with many pops and breaks which are audible to both parties. I'll be getting rid of this as soon as I find a new phone.

Your average phone
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Does the basics just fine: store #s, speed dial, 2 lines, caller id, etc.
Voice mail buttons, data port switch, and do not disturb button are very nice extra features.
Cons: It's dumb. A smart phone should: 1) recognize that the calling number is in the phone book and display the stored name instead of ...

Poor Customer Service
Phone Receiver did not work when Phone arrived. It had a horrible feedback sound which made it useless. Customer Service told us we need to send the whole unit in. After sending the unit in and following up after 3 weeks they wanted to know the Tracking Number. We sent it regular mail w/o tracking number. Customer Service insisted on the tracking number. Anyways. Bottom line is that we need to wait another 4-6 weeks, but Customer Service can't locate our phone. Money spent. No Phone. Done with t...

Radio Frequency Interference
I selected this phone because it had the features that we need for our business and because it clearly had more quality than the other phones on the market. However, when I set up the phone system, we started getting radio frequency interference (RFI). Essentially the handset cord acts as a radio antenna and we started picking up a local radio station. Imagine trying to have a business conversation while talking over hold music and you'll get the idea. After 3 calls, the tech support people ...
