Pros: Was going to put this into my new pc, but the new WD 360gb SATA drive I put in my wife's machine was making some funky noises. She has 3.0gb controllers on her motherboard, but I put this card into her XP machine, loaded the drivers, rebooted and connected the drive, seriously hoping it wasn't faulty ( I have an identical drive in my own PC)...

Pros: Comes with driver disk.
Worked fine in Windows and OSX (Kalyway).
Doesn't say it works with Mac on the box, but it appears to do so.
Cons: The PCIe slot is troublesome when you have a herculean graphics card next to it. But I haven't had any heat issues yet.

Worked right off with Win 2003 Server 64-bit R2
Cons: Would not work in either 8x slot on SuperMicro motherboard, but did in 4x slot.

Pros: It just works. Plugged it in, it was found & works with OpenSolaris 2008.11. I'm sure it's fine with Windows, but the UNIX people need to know what works as well. No battles were waged with my integrated Intel ICH9x controller or other devices. Fits perfectly.

Cons: Didnt work, corrupted the drive (was able 2 recover)
