Sharp and small in a moderate wide-angle
Possibly the sharpest 35mm wide-angle lens you can buy at this writing. Wide-open, stopped down, it doesn't matter - it's sparkling and snappy-sharp to the corners at every aperture.
I've also owned the earlier version one and three 35mm Summicrons. The third version is much lighter than the ASPH, but lacks the sharp clarity. If you have a Leica M3, the first version with the viewfinder 'goggles' is the only one that doesn't require a shoe-mounted viewfinder. But neither of them give ...

Can it get any better?
It's a little bigger than the previous version, but it's still as amazing as ever. The 35mm Summicron is a lens you never get tired of. This is the one lens you can live with if you could only have one. To me, it is the "normal" lens for all 35mm rangefinders. How good is it? I think all the other reviews have said it all.
The only thing that flops with buying this lens is the square lens hood. It won't click into place. I mean, it will fit, but the four retractable tabs won't ...
