PCI to USB adapter
I bought this card because I was running out of USB ports and needed more. The card has four external USB ports and one internal USB port. Why anybody would need an internal USB port is beyond me. The card was easy to install and initially seemed to work okay. Then I tried to connect a Western Digital external hard drive for backing things up. The external drive would not work when connected to this USB adapter. I had to switch things around and connect the external hard drive to one of the comp...

Beware of Conflicts
Because I use a USB hard drive and SuperDuper to back up my Quicksilver G4 Mac, I wanted to save myself 3 days by using the faster USB 2. My USB 2 computer backs up in 3 hours, the G4 takes 3 days. I bought the IOGEAR Hi-Speed USB 2.0 PCI Card (GIC251U) and installed it. I had another PCI card installed to let the G4 recognize a larger hard drive I had installed. The IOGEAR Card froze the computer and destroyed the other PCI card, which means that second hard drive is no longer available to my G...

I installed the card in my Computer PCI slot. Booted my computrer Windows XP with service pack 2. New Hardware message appeared. system found the driver and it was up and running. No need to load the software disk provided. EASY Quick And Running.
