Nice product, but beware with Mac Pro desktop
I bought this to use with a Mac Pro (desktop) and a laptop. The product is designed nicely, but appears to havean incompatibility with the Mac Pro - whenever I'd switch away from the Mac it would crash, and the error report upon booting suggested the crash was happening in an Nvidia driver. Apparently when you switch away the computer loses EDID information from the monitor, then crashes. Works as expected
Works great, but the cables are way too SHORT; as a result it takes a lot of squeezing to get all the components close enough to connect.
IF IT HAD LONGER CABLES, I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND IT.

So so so awesome
I was worried about this product and any other DVI+USB KVM switches. I read reviews that said it crashed certain OSs or you couldn't use fancy mouse buttons with it.
But, my fears were unfounded. This switch works absolutely flawlessly with my PC, Mac Mini, Logitech keyboard+mouse, and Dell LCD panel. Pros: Perfect combination of DVI, USB, and audio for controlling two modern computers from one interface. Switching between computers at just a push of a button is a real pleasure after manually switching around cables for a while! Mac users -- save your money
The IOGear KVM switch seemed like an ideal solution to my needs. It works great when using a PC keyboard, but it can't see a Mac aluminum keyboard at all. I was amazed to find that it doesn't work with current Mac keyboards even though the product is advertised as being compatible with the Mac.
Mac users: save your money and look elsewhere.
