Gotta love Belkin!
I find most Belkin products either have a multi-year or lifetime warranty and their quality reflects it. I've had the best of success with all of my Belkin gear (hubs, switches, cables, even cable ties!) and I'm always using this hub when I need to expand the USB connections for a machine.
I've successfully used this hub on 2 machines at work and 2 machines at home and I'm now ordering my 5th one to continue to expand the home network array.

Performs well where other USB hubs failed.
This hub sees heavy use with my Apple PowerBook in my office and usually has at least 5 out of the 7 ports being used at any given time by scanners, art tablets, printers, and cameras.
I've burned through 3 other hubs in the last year that all died from heavy use or cheap manufacturing, but this one has kept going strong ever since I got it. No difficulty detecting inputs, no downtime, no sluggishness.

nice little gadget
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I like the fact that i have an uncluttered desk with this 7port hub. I wish the ports were on the top of the hub instead of the side 'cos it is cumbersome to use with the current design. But it works and i am happy.

Great USB hub.
I was looking for an USB hub that could expand my ports for my Mac Book Pro. Belkin is a trusted name too for me, alot of their products are really friendly to the Apple world. I really felt comfortable buying this. So far it works great, I love the fact that it has the 7 ports and that everything is neatly organized. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to add more ports to their laptop/desktop. Also, for people who have desktops, this would be a great way to plug it into the back...

Cons: Besides some design issues for cable management, my real concern is with the early death of one of the two units I purchased. To further burn.....I have to pay the shipping for return to the other side of the country. That might be expected on a term of longer ownership but within a month. I've had nothing but trouble from ALL Belkin equipment purchased.
