The sound quality is very good and, very important, the people who received the calls can ear you properly (not the case with many headset).

(What's this?) I did make quite a bit of research before I bought this phone. It's a great phone, easy to used and it doesn't required a computer. You must however connect the phone directly to your internet router. The phone feel quite lite, but it doesn't feel cheap.

Better than using Skype on your computer.
This phone lacks usable touch-tones as has been pointed out by various reviews. However, Skype service is quite a bargain so if you subscribe to a phone number from them then you need a stand alone phone that will ring when your computer is not turned on. I live in the Republic of Panama and for a very low cost I get unlimited service to the US and Canada plus a USA phone number. Someone can call me and my phone will ring no matter where in the world I am as long as I am hooked up to the intern...

Great Sound Quality, Poor Functionality

(What's this?) I had to send this phone back because it did not handle long DTMF tones. What this means is that when I'd make calls to businesses that required me to select from a list of options, I could not make a choice. Or when calling my cell number to check voicemail, I could not enter my pin. This rendered the phone useless to me. The sound quality was very good, however.

Outstanding quality
The sound is incredible! Including for long distance calls. Speaker and hands-free calls are unbelievably of good quality, regardless of the noise in the room. The quality difference was so huge that I had put my 6 months old Belkin wireless Skype phone back in its box for rainy days. :-)
