Best Cordless phone on the Market
Panasonic did their research and finally made a phone that works great and is made for the everyday consumer.
No tiny buttons. Great sound and easy to use. I suspect this cordless will be the largest selling phone on the market shortly. I got this phone one day after it came out and it was so good, I bought 2 more extention phones directly from Pansonic, Amazon didn't have them yet. The price for this phone is also the best for all the features.
Forget the other brands, I tried Unide...

Great range, sound, price.
Very well thought out phones. We've had Uniden phones for a long time but I think Panasonic has leapfrogged them. Tons of advanced features, but what matters most to us is:
1)Great range, great reception, 4 phones can be charged and moved around anywhere. Sound quality is very good but for hearing-impaired it would be nice to push the volume up one more notch.
2)No interference with wireless networks or other devices.
3)Great battery system -- the included AAA NIMH rech...

Excellent home system!
Upgraded my 2.8 Panasonic phone system and am totally delighted. The intercom functions exactly like my office system and it's in use constantly.
I bought the base plus 3 and had it up and functioning straight out of the box. Excellent product.
Only negative? Answering machine doesn't "beep" when a message is received and doesn't show the number of messages. Minor problems.

Works great
Tech Level: average
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Very clear. Can listen to messages and view caller id log from any phone. No interference from my 2.4 (?) wireless LAN.
Cons: LCD display hard to read at angle. When storing new name and phone number, doesn't get sent to all phones automatically (this might be a plus for some families.) Menu controls a little awkward, but work.

Great phone with minor irritations
I have had this phone for about a month now and I am very pleased with some of the great features, e.g. transfer, ringtones, copying names to selected handsets, range, no interference with appliences or wireless network, etc.) But there are a couple things that can be improved upon. The "irritations" include showing the # of missed calls even though the call(S) was (were) answered, and also, there is no backlight.
I find the range to be very good on this model because I live in a goo...

Good in part, may be okay, but definitely not perfect
I was looking for a replacement phone system as I was getting tired of dropped wireless every time the phone rang (despite MIMO etc)
After a lot of on-line research the Panasonic seemed to be a good mix of functionality and ease of use. I ordered the 4-pack with a couple of extras to take it up to the limit of 6.

Very Satisfied!
I very satisfied with this phone! I replaced my older Motorola cordless 2.4GHz set with these. The only feature I miss from the Motorola's are the ability to set a unique ringtone for numbers listed in the phonebook (The Motorola could ring a unique ringtone for entries found in the phonebook - a nice feature to know that someone you know is calling without having to look at the handset).
This phone uses newer (and readily available) NiMH AAA batteries - no more hunting for proprieta...

Very Good Cordless Phone
I purchased this unit when it came out. Easy to set up. The handsets were pre-registered, so it worked out of the box. Focused on this design because it has a jack for a headset, and I like to have both hands free. The 1.9 GHz band appears to be interference free. Speaker phone works reasonably well. I would buy this one again! I like the easy to replace NiMh batteries. Not listed as Energy Star, but I suspect that since it runs cooler and has a long battery life that it meets guidelines. pretty good
Ive had this phone for about a month now and it is working perfectly. I give it 4 stars because of a feature I really really liked with my last vtech phone that this phone does not. On this new phone you cannot assign ring tones to callers. I miss this feature particularly for those persons I did not want to talk to. I cant block them from calling but at least I didn't have to waste my time going for the phone and looking at the caller id, I could just listen for the type of ring. Oh well. ...

DO NOT BUY
I purchased this phone to replace an older Panasonic phone system that was wearing out and I am very sorry to say it is not worth buying, in fact I am going to cut my losses, throw it away and try another product. The range is terrible, I have several of the handsets around my home and one is in direct open line of vision from the base and won't receive a signal. The only way any of the handsets will work is to pick up when the phone rings and get as close to the base as you can to get a signal....
