Nice phone but disappointing range
From the description and other reviews, I thought the range would be greater. I have a big yard and I don't expect the phone to reach all of it but I was hoping for a bit more, front and back. Moving the base from upstairs to downstairs didn't help. I did better with my defunct 900MHZ phone. I also wish there was a button for the ringer (on/off) and a volume control for the handsets. If I cannot hear well, I use the speakerphone function and that does make it louder but it's not a great sol...

Top of the line phone system, great battery life.
I got this phone system to change a 5.8GHz phone that was causing issues with a 5.8GHz WiFi router and a 2.4GHz WiFi printer.
Panasonic DECT 6.0 has a great range with not interference issues with other electronics.
I like the compact base, the belt clip and headset jack. Also the buttons have a nice size and the numbers are big compared to other similar units.
The battery life is great and voice quality is clear on both ends.

No ringer off button
There has been lots of praise for this phone. And it's all true. However I'm going to mention two gripes I have. First, do you know how many keystrokes it takes to turn the ringer on the handset to OFF? TEN! Yes that's right. If your phone is in your bedroom, and you want to turn the ringer off at night so as not to get a wrong number call in the middle of the night, you need to turn the ringer off. The stupid process is:

Lot more than specifications tell you
I have just used this for 3 days now. Very happy. The specifications do little justice to this phone. 1. This unit has a speakerphone on both handsets. I thought there would be just one on the base fixed unit. 2. Unlike the comparable Uniden model, this has a headset jack. 3. The buttons are big and easy to dial.
No wireless router interference. Overall very happy so far. Much more than I expected.

ok phones .has some cool features but also big drawbacks
I got this phone about a week ago in order to replace a 2.4 panasonic that died -some numbers were not dialing and finally battery hookup broke off- In general I like the phone but it has some major things I don't like.

Buy it after you research everything
You always research everything to death before you buy it, right? I did! And then I settled on this phone.
It has a very clear sound. Great speaker phone. Great answering machine. Very light in the hand and comfortable to use. It does however interfere with my wireless network, so I had to use a filter which took care of the problem 100%.
Now, ask yourself, what else should the house phone do? Nothing, eh? So, buy it. You won't regret it.

Awesome product
I have used many cordless phones before, but this is the best. The range is great, remember, without any interference. Very ergonomic, and ofcourse its a Panasonic.
I have not tested the battery life (they claim 15-17 hours) but its cool.

Panasonic COrdless Telephone
I believe this is over rated as I believed it had a longer range..I was looking for something to work in my backyard..It is approx. 165 feet long, and this works maybe through half the yard. I was more than slightly disappointed in the product. It is better than my last cordless phone, but far less than I expected it to be. I would not recommend this to someone who is looking for range, since it is a disappointment.

Nice phone... lack of options
This system is quite good. We had a vtech dual handset system 5.8 Ghz before, and it was heavier, bulkier, and far less coverage than these Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones.
Pros: Light, nice phones. Use normal NiMH AAA bateries, and got really good autonomy. Distance is fine for a home with garden and back: we have a barbecue on the back, at the end, and this phone perfectly covers that area, across several walls, and a distance of 30 meters or so. Sound is OK, speakerphone is OK, rington...
