Outstanding call clarity + software...but no visual display on answering machine
For those who think all cordless phones are alike, au contraire. I've struggled with crackly 900 mhz lemons, 1.8ghz with non-existent range, 2.8ghz housed in faulty answering machine units, and 5.8ghz paperweights where every call was a lesson in hearing impaired.

Pretty good value, some good pros and some annoying cons
This is my review of the Panasonic KX-TG1033S set after owning 2 other systems, including the Uniden TRU8885-3HS 5.8Mhz. Panasonic Cordless DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone
These phone are great! I have had them for over a month and am VERY satisfied. Let me start by saying the last 3 cordless phones I have had were junk. So I am picky now. I would reccommend this to anyone... probably the best on the market.
The best way to tell you about this is list the Pros and Cons:

This is the best phone yet.
Perfectly clear when held to my ear or when using the speaker phone in the hand- set. I can switch to speaker phone and drop the handset in my pocket they do provide a belt-clip and hear and speak just fine. I love the transfer-a-call intercom feature no more yelling in the house for someone else that the phone is for them I just transfer it to that handset. Bought this and 3 additional handsets - ended up being cheaper than 1035s and adding one. Great phone all around. The lack of a message "counter" is only drawback. The intercom/transfer feature is especially nice - you answer a call (for your wife upstairs), you press transfer (puts the caller on hold) and press the handset you want, (you can hang up and the call is transferred OR wait) she answers the page - you tell her who it is - when you hang up the call is transferred to her. Best Cordless Phone Period
After reading all the positive reviews here, I had to get one. I've only used it for a day but soundwise, it's the best I have heard in a long time. I used to have an answering machine and separate cordless phones around the house but now, I can access messages from any handset anywhere in the house. Perfect clarity, but doesn't recognize AT&T CallNotes messages
I'm very happy with this phone. I love the address book feature. It lets you add numbers from your caller id list. You can even change the caller id name (ex. WIRELESS CALLER to DOE, JOHN) so the next time that person calls it will list the caller's name stored in the address book. Each handset has it's own address book, but you can easily "send" address book entries from one handset to another. Also, we use the phones upstairs and downstairs so the walkie talkie feature is very useful....my kid...

One thing missing
I like this phone a great deal - the sound quality is good and there are some great features. The one feature this item is missing is that there is no indication of how many messages you have - just that there is a message [or messages].

We had a similar product to this one that we had purchased through the phone company several years ago, and it was dying, and needed to be replaced.
