Fits right in!
I bought the expansion handset because my base set was new but I had drop a cabinet on top of my old handset #2. (I know... OOuch..) So, I did not really need a whole new Phone set I just needed the one I lost... Handset # 2.
It arrived a day prior to five days which was excellent. And I was able to set it up right away. Although the serial number on this handset did not match the original serial number on my base phone set it still worked, fine. In the manual it says it can be used ...

We like the phones very much, just wish there was a hook on the back of the to clip on your belt so you could carry it around the house.

Better than the Panasonic Dect 6.0
I tried the Panasonic DECT 6.0 phone system, but it had a very annoying echo. The AT&T set up quick and had no echoing sound.

What's great about it: Easy to register to the base, nice features, good price
What's not so great: timeout on backlight too short
"Got the main phone and it came with 2 handsets (already registered - I like that!) and needed extra handsets. Extras are very easy to register. I like all of the features, too."

Finally, a portable phone that works in my house!
We have been through several wireless phones, but the reception/clarity at the far end (about 50' away) was poor. this phone works very, very nicely. It worked so well that we went back an bought another complete unit for our camp. The add-on phones are easy to "connect" to the base unit, too. Good unit, good value.

Best phone ever
Read all the reviews and went with the AT&T.It's everything advertised and more. Purchased the base phone and ordered 2 extra portables. Just charge them as recommended and their good to go. Love that the handsets share the directory with base without programming each one. Great phones.

Excellent product
We bought the AT&T phones to replace some others that we very poor! The new phones are great, with excellent range and very clear voice. The range of operation away from the base set is excellent. This was a great buy and the extra handset was easy to set up and use.
