Great value, another wonderful Toshiba product!
First of all, this ia a LOT of computer for the price. I've had this computer for two weeks now and it is used several hours each day. I love that the RAM is upgradeable to 8gb, even though it runs beautifully fast with 4gb. The screen is great and I like the non-shiny finish of the screen, so there is no glare at all. The keyboard is the perfect size (for my regular-sized girl hands), and I really prefer the scrolly pad that the Toshibas have over other brands I have used.

Lighting Fast, But Beware of Legacy Software
The Toshiba A505-S6973 Laptop is a slick, lightweight, very fast machine with an incredibly bright & clear display.
Beware!! This is a "64-bit" version of Windows Vista Home Premium, which made all of my legacy software (Office 2000, FrontPage 2002, etc.) obsolete. Exactly as promised
This PC is exactly as promised. Very clear, bright display, FAST processing, and good feature set. My only complaint is that LabelFlash disks are not easily found as tried this feature on DVDs and really found it superior to lightscribe but I cannot get find a ready supply of the disks.

Bargain blockbuster.
I am an avid gamer and a college student. This laptop satisfies both needs. I almost spent $2,500 on an Alienware gaming laptop, but when the budget couldn't handle it, I settled for this Toshiba. My expectations were not high, but they should have been. Huge memory, lightning fast, and just enough of a graphics card to run most games without any problems. best laptop for the price!
I'm not that great at reviews, but what I can say, this laptop is definitely worth the price! There is everything you need in here. The only problem I would say is that there was this random clear sticker on the webcam, so I peeled it off with my finger, not knowing that the area around the webcam is sort of a soft texture, never the less I scratched the area by the webcam a little but that is okay. This laptop is definitely worth $650, don't buy a mac, get this!

at 650, this is a steal...
Bought this for my wife to replace a 4-year-old Acer. Ordered last night and got it this morning...
Right off the bat, the huge screen size mesmerized me. Migrating from a 14" to this with a much better quality screen was a pleasure to the eyes.
