Please bear in mind before you buy this Laptop that Sony will not support any other OS than the one provided (Vista Home Premium)If you think you want or can upgrade it to Vista Ultimate, don't bother. A/V drivers will stop working, the laptop will crash frequently or peform extremely poorly. If you think you are savvy enough to perform a clean install with another OS: forget having Sony make available to you the actual programs that make it such an awesome buy. Poor support and large restrictions
 
I also attempted to upgrade this computer to Vista Ultimate. Sony even includes a flyer in the box on how to proceed with a WindowsAnytimeUpgrade to Ultimate. That doesn't even phase the support group who just recite their talking point that only Vista Home Premium is supported.

There are good features for High definition editting and Blu-Ray disk creation, but my WinDVD BD player has mysteriously stopped playing commercial Blu-Ray disks twice now. Just as mysteriously the function...
