Great laptop! SONY has always been a safe bet and they continue to prove it.
I decided to go with the VAIO because of friends that had positive experiences with theirs. I did fear VISTA but so far it has not been bad. Takes some getting used to but Im sure Ill be ok and so will you. Sony Makes a Quality Product
Sony is known for quality products whether it be lawnmowers televisions or notebook computers. Why would you by the 140 model instead of 250?

A very nice Laptop
Like many Sony products the screen is beautiful and sharp. It is not that glossy as HPs True bright yet it is nice and clear. The built in web-cam is much better than of any Laptop I know and has motion sensor adjustment. The Dolby surrounded sound is great on this Laptop . It is fast with Centrino 2 Intel processor and 4 GB DDr2 Ram. I like Intel over AMD when it comes to reliability and durability.brbrOver all this is a great machine with 64 bit Windows. I simply loved it.

VAIO's have always been my computer of choice
This is the second VAIO computer that I have had and I will never buy another brand of laptop. My older VAIO is a workhorse and this one seems to be just as good if not better. It is certainly faster and runs everything easily. I highly recommend the VAIO line of laptops.

Disappointed

Great affordable laptop
Got this one a week ago and as my first laptop I couldnt be happier! The hard drive space is amazing and everything runs so smoothly. Vista isnt nearly the hassle that I thought it would be. So far I havent had any problems with the computer at all. The only drawback is that the battery only lasts about 2.5 hours. Youll definitely need to pick up the extended life battery if you plan on using it on the go. Other than that this is a great laptop.

Sleek design, well laid out and Impressive system
Vista today is far more better than Vista Yesterday. I have both Vista machines a gateway desktop I purchased one year ago and this laptop. Its totally different performance between the two. So far this sony VAIO laptop is out perform my gateway vista in every categories. Im very impressed and satisfied with this machine.

A good buy for the hardware
Im a person that likes to have electronics that are different to whats on the market.
