Skip overpriced ultraportables.
This has been one of the best laptops I've ever used, and among netbooks, this is the only one I'm not annoyed on a regular basis by. The atom n270 is very quick for running basic applications and word processing. The keyboard is very nice with one tiny problem; I occasionally hit caps lock when I want an A. The integrated bluetooth and widcomm drivers work fine for sending and receiving files and audio, the sound card is fine for listening to music and watching videos, the webcam works fine ...

Great machine!
This being my first netbook, I was unsure what to think about this machine. I bought it as an on-the-go Ubuntu running computer to lessen the time that my $2500 Mac laptop spends on the road.
The build quality is solid. I'm not worried about scratching or pieces falling off. The one spot that I'm a bit annoyed at as far as physical design is the mouse button. It rocks back and forth when clicking and feels a bit silly.
The keyboard is the real star of this computer. It's NO...

The trackpad isn't so bad
There are a lot of reviews here raving about this netbook, so I won't repeat those statements. This really is a great little ultra portable computer. But one feature that I stumbled upon that made a difference to me was with the trackpad. Yes, as stated in all the reviews, it is small. Obviously Samsung wanted to keep the overall size of the case down. But, while looking at the various options for the trackpad I turned on the "tackball" option. This lets the cursor behave like you are actually u...

Just shy of the perfect Netbook
I really wanted to give this netbook a perfect score but it just misses the mark by a hair. I'll explain.
Prior to owning the Samsung, I had an Acer Aspire One which I what I'm using to compare to the Samsung. I returned it because the screen was too small for me (8.9 in), the battery life was terrible (less than 2 hrs), and the keyboard was just too small!
The Samsung addressed all these issues and I felt it was going to be the perfect answer for me. It is perfect except as noted below.

Hands Down, Best Netbook!
I purchased the NC10 from amazon after doing quite a bit of research, I went to several stores to try out different netbooks though no one locally carried the Samsung so I bought it based on reviews and what i did and didn't like about other Netbooks... Best Warranty, 3 years parts and labor plus you get 3 months extra for registering your purchase on samsung support website. (there is some confusion as samsung website and seller sites say 1 year but the warranty card inside clearly stat...

The best combination of features in a very capable netbook!
After looking at and testing out several netbook models, I decided that the NC10 had the best combination of features and options of any of netbook available, and since getting it and using it, it has only continued to impress me!
I do most of my computing on a desktop, either at home or work, but I travel on average a few times a month, and found myself dreading the size and weight of my full-size laptop if I brought it along, or leaving it behind and occasionally wishing for a mobil...

excellent choice
As many have already said, the Samsung NC10 is a great machine. The size is just right, the screen bezel doesn't appear to be huge as on other netbooks, and the keyboard is excellent. The keys are a bit stiffer than I am used to, but they have a comfortable amount of travel and I am able to touch type without difficulty. The only real issue I have with the keyboard is the need to press Fn to use End and Home keys, but I suspect every netbook would suffer this fate due to lack of space. I appreci...

Here's the beautiful Samsung NC10
Length:: 9:53 Mins
Here is a 9 minute review of the NC10. I thought it would be a bit more exciting to see it in action and my first thoughts. I've put in a few size comparisons that helps get the feel of it.
I really love the whole experience of owning one of these. The battery life is amazing with 7 hours and more. The experience of daily surfing on the go in style is so helpful and enjoyable. If you are on the go and have time between appointments it can really ch...

IT Pro's Netbook Epiphany (the Samsung NC10).....
USER BACKGROUND: I've been involved with PC's since PC's came into existence. Through the years I've owned a wide range of notebooks from luggables, desktop replacements, to travel companions (currently I own a couple of 12" touch screen tablets and two HP 20" HDX media notebooks used as desktop replacements). I was ready for a new travel notebook and started to follow the evolving "Netbook" category. As in the past, I was faced with a substantial expenditure (several thousand dollars) t...

Awesome Blue
This netbook was a replacement from Acer Inspire One which came with an incorrect keyboard layout. Return to Amazon for refund. I'm glad I did, this Samsung is awesome. Just received my "Blue" Samsung NC10 today. Don't understand why the Blue netbook is $20 more than the White netbook. Initial setup took about 10 minutes to get to Start menu. The only fault I could find would be the speakers, they OK. Was not expecting 5:1 surround sound. The fan is absolutely quite and the netbook was almost co...
