The Best Netbook Experience EVER
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: I just bought this at Costco and I have to say that of all the netbooks that I've tried, this is the best one that i've seen. The keyboard is EXCELLENT -- I don't make mistakes on it like the Acer and Asus netbooks. The construction build is very solid and the design is sleek. I love the glossy screen too! XP is very usable on it -- quick boot and shut down / standby times. ...

Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: Excellent keyboard, bright screen, decent speaker(on-top), good connectivity, runs fast for surf, etc., I like the mouse pad. Skype works without a hitch.
Cons: Battery life
Other Thoughts: This is a great "gadget"! Initially bought it as a "toy" but find I use it ALOT, that is until...... my college age daughter is using now w/ O...

Best of the Netbooks
I bought this and have been very pleased with it. I like that it does NOT have a small SSD hard drive. The keyboard is the best of the Netbooks. In the store I tried typing on the Acer, Lenovo, this HP, and the Asus. I made far fewer mistakes using this keyboard. The display has good color and resolution. The Wi-Fi works well. It even has Bluetooth. All-in-all this is the best of the Netbooks.

Horrible webcam
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: Great keyboard.
Quiet.
Reasonably fast.
Light weight 3 cell battery.
Cons: Horrible webcam -- it is only VGA resolution, and it requires so much light that it does not work unless you have a 100 watts bulb shining right in your face.
3 cell battery only lasts between 2 and 3 hours
Other Thoughts: This series is being superseded by th...

Awesome travel companion
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Sleek design and very light (random people will approach you and praise it –weird I know); keyboard size; integrated WI-FI & Bluetooth; bright display allows for easy outdoor read (not necessarily out in the sun, but better than the average laptop), it’s also a bit glossy, but you’ll get use to it, not real...

GOOD BUY BUT BEWARE
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year Pros: This laptop is very fast, best netbook I've used. GOOD SCREEN IF YOU GET THE 10.2 INCH. Feels good, not flimsy. I have the 1030NR same thing as this just with a 16GB SSD.
Cons: MAKE SURE YOU GET THE 10.2 INCH SCREEN!!! I bought two at Best buy(wish I got it from newegg). One was 10.2, one was 10.1, the difference was huge. The 10.1 was very dim co...

Awesome
Tech Level: high Ownership: less than 1 day This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: small portable snappy performance with 2gb of ram mini-pcieWWAN support was widened with the newest BIOS update (the old HS2300 card, $50 online, works with no modifications besides a 3g antenna behind the screen) clear screen
Cons: Screen often cuts things off (most notably the preferences window in Pidgin) t...

one week (plus linux)
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Linux Mint works right out of the box. Bluetooth, webcam, keyboard hotkeys, wireless and SD slot work 100%.
Rudimentary multitouch, and mouse gestures!
MUCH better sound under Linux. The driver HP supplies for Windows makes everything sound terrible.
Cons: Gnome has an even harder time dealing with the narrow screen than W...
