Now This Is A Netbook
My previous netbook was an Acer Aspire, which by comparison was crap. I think the one I got was probably a fluke, but I had problems with it from day 1. Not so with ny Asus. Maybe a little better than the rest
I have only had this Eee for a day but make sure you look for bios update in Asus updates.The screen is not as bright as my Acer. There are 2 bios updates and the latest is for a brighter screen setting. This makes the screen much brighter and as with all new computers it seems there are always important updates.

All the good things I've read about it are true
OMG! The battery life on this thing really is *that* good. I'm delighted. It's a huge improvement over my old, full-size laptop in many ways, and the few things that are less than ideal aren't such a big deal. I love how truly portable it is (even the power cord and adapter are svelte)--it's nice to know I can travel with it by just tucking it into my totebag and be able to use it even if I don't have a place to plug it in. This is the laptop for everyone who never wanted a laptop before. It's small with a very clear screen. The keyboard, though slightly smaller than standard, is a pleasure to use.
