A Must Have for Green Day Fans
I don't care what anyone says. Green Day is one of my favorite bands. They are one of the main reasons for me listening to music. I've liked them since sixth grade, and they're still around. Everything a Rock/Punk band should be
These guys are amazing talents. I've loved their music ever since Dookie, and have since gone back and gotten some of their earlier stuff. You can see (and hear) their growth as writers and musicians, culminating with American Idiot, probably the best rock album in many years. This Green Day greatest-hits CD contains various hits & singles from their 1994 to 2000 releases, totaling up to 21 tracks, 1 hour and 43 seconds. There are two songs, however, that are entirely brand new -- "Maria" and "Poprocks & Coke" -- recorded just a couple of months before they released this album. Just me... or not?
OK, I love Green Day and always will. But is it just me, or do other people besides me find "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life" to be the most depressing song ever written? It was played at my 8th grade graduation a good, long five years ago, and it almost made me cry then. It still makes me cry now. They played it at a co-worker's friend's funeral. Now that I have your attention
First off, I am a huge Green Day fan, so honestly the songs deserve 5 stars, but the cd itself made me very upset. They have all their "singles" from their other albums, but that's not what Green Day is, they make great albums. The flow of this isn't very good, and I miss many songs that should have been included to make this a true Green Day experience. The definition of a sellout.
A best of cd is unheard of in punk, and it should be that way. Compilations like this are only ok when the old cd's are out of print. This cd is just a filler either for money or to get out of a contract, not for the fans.

god, how unrealistic
i would have given this 0 stars but taht unfourtuantley wasnt an option. i am going 2 give a review on teh songs i remembered somehow but they are all really bad. Spiderman just wouldnt approve of the lyrics and vocals.

How to rate an album you've never heard...
2 stars, EASY, 2 stars, because it is Green Day's Music on this pathetic album. Green Day is a great band! This CD is just songs, that aren't really hits, most are great, but some in general are plain. I don't like all of these greatest hits, especially if you own all the albums these "hits" are on. This is only good if you aren't expecting what Green Day is. I reccomend Dookie & Nimrod, before anything this! This is not worth the money, I can only see someone buying it ...

Worst band ever? No. But close
You know, I'm impressed by how many units this group's managed to move. They've cranked out Top 10 multiplatinum album after Top 10 multiplatinum album. Another thing that impresses me about this group is how BAD they are. They can't write music, can't write lyrics, can't play their instruments, can't do ANYTHING that sets them apart from anyone else, let alone justifies them being so popular.
