Great Board So Far.
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Setup was pretty easy. It worked right out of the box, and I got it to POST correctly on the first try.
This is my first new build for quite a while, so that may be the reason I think this, but still; the BIOS settings are amazing. You have control over *everything.*
Cons: Just one: The "optional" fan fo...

Watch your Temperatures
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Solid State. setup for 45 nm 775 intel chips. Easy to overclock. Great tech support. Great community boards
Cons: MCP temperature reached 85 degrees celsius after 5 minutes. Tech support had me push the MCP heat sink with a chop stick, the temp went down to 65, but returned to 85 shortly thereafter. There is a fix, but it requi...

780i with Vista does not work
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year Pros: 3 way SLI - not sure why?
Cons: I have been working with this chipset for many months. The Sata drivers in Vista causes constant BSOD (irq is greater or less than). The IRQ error makes no sense, because I only have two video cards and the PhysX card installed in the computer. In addition, the sound card causes BSOD with the error code 0000124. EVGA support, were helpful, b...

Beware of Windows Update.
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: 3 way SLI, which is why I bought it, I have 2x8800GTX cards and am thinking of adding a third.
Can Raid0 two sets of drives.
Cons: Windows update will update nvidia RAID (and other?) drivers that will corrupt RAID0.
Other Thoughts: I bought this knowing about various problems with 780 SLI. ...

4gb ram issues solution
Tech Level: high Ownership: less than 1 day Pros: ....
Cons: ....
Other Thoughts: Someone said that they had issues with 4gb of RAM.
Solution:
If you're installing Vista 64bit and your using 4GB RAM on more than on stick, just install the OS with one of the 2gb sticks, when everything is ready to go, just turn off, and stick in the other RAM module. It will then post and boot correctly. I kno...

Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Great looking board with many nice features. I'm using an E8500, 4GB Mushkin XP2-8500 Ascent, and 2x XFX 9600GTs with the board (@ stock speeds). Not a single compatibility problem with these components.
Cons: Manual could be a little more detailed.
Other Thoughts: This board is not part of ...
