Vista x64 Tips
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Performs good. Excellent overclocking ability. Good spacing of components allows for a good third party heat sink.
Cons: Expensive. Chipset heat sinks are not copper.
Other Thoughts: For Vista 64 users with over 2 gigs of ram: I had a small nightmare with Vista 64 Ultimate. I could not install Vista with ...

One tight mobo
I just got this thing in the other day. Installed it in a Cooler Master 690 case. Fastened my Intel Quad Core Q6600 with 4 gig of ram and 8800 GT video card. The Zalman 9700 heatsink fits nicely. What can I say this thing screams.

Yes, Yes, and yes
I just got this and wow I can't believe the possibilities this mobo has to offer. Gammers and overclockers if you dont want to fork out the dough for a 780i then this is the ticket. You can run three-way SLI, only with the 8800 & 9800 GTX series nvidia graphics cards under Vista @ 16x X 16x X 8x, and an up gradable board for the future. If you have an understanding on overclocking, the BIOS is fairly easy to use lots of options and nice layout for cases with the PSU above the mobo. Plenty of ...

USEFUL info about this Board
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: THIS is the best 680i board out there. This is a revision from the AR model and fixes the problem it had with Quad core cpu's. The best part was, EVGA will replace your AR board for this one FOR FREE if you have Quad core!!! EVGA's service beats out @sus by a landslide.
Cons: The placement of slots makes it impossible to fit an X-fi card between two 880...

Exellent M-Board (Vista X64 3>GIG read thoughts)
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: This M-Board has all the Bells and Whistles you'd really ever need. It's cheaper than the Asus and has some features I like better than Asus. EVGA did a very good job in placing the heat Pipe as well as the heat Sinks. It allows enough space for just about any coling system you chose. The position of the RAM Sockets is great as well. It allows for S...

Note on the A1 vs AR
Tech Level: high Ownership: less than 1 day This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: -
Cons: -
Other Thoughts: I just wanted to let everyone know that the A1 is EVGA's update to their 680i motherboard. AR was the previous version. This update supposedly allows better Quad-Core overclocking. You can read more about it on the EVGA message boards. Also, if you have an AR, you can swap it for the A1.

Great 680i SLI motherboard
If you are an enthusiast or an overclocker (OC), then you know you want the Nvidia 680i chipset. However, you probably also know of the inordinate amount of problems that chipset has. Well, where as Asus has refused and/or been slow to fix most of the 680i problems (killing RAM, POST problems, keyboard/mouse problems, SATA drive problems,etc...) eVGA and others have actually worked on correcting them. Now, no 680i board is bug free, but the eVGA board revision A1 (and T1) has fixed a lot of the ...

Working well!
Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: My build went cleanly. Everything worked first time around. And, it is fast. The system scored 11,600 on 3DMark06 without any overclocking. At startup, the FSB ran at 1066MHz, and the Memory 800Mhz. My Intel 6600 is also at the factor 2.4 GHz. This score is #4 when ranked against similar systems. The best thing about this board is supposed to be the ov...

great motherboard
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Excellent overclocking options and capabilities. Excellent packaging, cabling, accessories. Running stable at 375fsb, 3.375GHz with 2.4GHz E6600.
Cons: SATA ports are numbered wrong in manual and not in order on board. Since SATA ports are grouped in twos by controller chips, color coding in pairs would help a lot.

Failing boards...
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: The problem with this boards failing are as follows: 1) User doesn't use a decent power supply (and I don't mean 700 Watt Powtek PSU by decent), I mean something like 620 Watt Corsair 620HX, or Silverstone Zeus or Thermaltake Toughpower 750W. Don't buy a Maxdaspeed 6 if you can't afford the premium gas. 2) Cooling: Use a...
