only 1 ide interface
Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: everything works great, i like this motherboard, lots of expandability, good choice for the money
Cons: the newegg site lists this as having two ide inputs, it has only 1, i will therefore have to buy a new harddrive which i was not in the market for so i can run my dvd drive and cd burner off the only ide port and get my computer fully func...

Supports 2 IDE Drives as Advertised!
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: less than 1 day Pros: Similar to ECS G31T-M(1.0) but this model has solid capacitors which supposedly offer slightly better performance or reliability.
Cons: Not designed for serious overclocking (basic voltage regulators, no heatsink/cooler for southbridge chip, lacks cpu core voltage fine-tuning, etc.)
Other Thoughts: An earlier reviewer complained about the...

It deserved 5 stars
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: Its very fast when you use the 1066 FSB cpu. As an update to my previous review. . . It does indeed do BSEL features! The speed from this is not reported at the boot screen. It has great via sound, and the lagless Atheros fast ethernet port is nice too. There's no realtek to slow you down. Energy consumption is so low that there's practically no heat. This product is recommendable...

Nice fast board
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Gotta be honest, not the biggest Intel socket fan. I have pretty much always tuned AMD but this board has changed my opinion towards Intel gaming machines. You don't need a Quad to make this kitten pur. A nice fast light weight dual core and I post while windows boots. I installed XP SP2 on one to test it. Updated to SP3 and all the other garbage Bill f...

If you want bland and reliable. . .
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week Pros: This is a G31, and that means it is an office / "basic home" pc motherboard. It consumes very little energy. It has Atheros lan (huge buffers, doesn't lag the cpu). It has quite decent Via audio, so you don't need an upgrade sound card. The Ich7 provides the most reliable SATA hard drive interface possible. This board can work as a small home or branch office server, w...

Working good.
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Easy setup with everything integrated. Driver install went flawlessly. No BSOD's during setup. Included all necessary cables (except an LPT port header). I coupled the board with an E2200 CPU (part # N82E16819116063) and 4GB of ram (part # N82E16820211188). Using a Dynex 400W PSU that I got from BBuy, and a case from Ultra product...

Great price, fine features
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Easy install. Has one 3-pin fan connector in addition to the CPU fan. 6 SATA ports (way more than anyone would use for this board, probably) and 2 dimm slots. Just the right price and features to couple with CPU's selling less than $75.
Cons: The FP Pwr/SLP are two pins adjcent to each other. On Asus boards they usually ...

Clarification
Tech Level: high Ownership: less than 1 day Pros: I was going to purchase this board for a build (web browsing pc). I chose a different model. However I wanted to clarify something. Dan posted on 4/26/2009 that false advertising had occurred. I double checked the specs and it clearly states: PATA -1 x ATA100 2 Dev. Max. This mean there is but a single IDE channel capable of running 2 devices. You certainly can run both your DVD drive and CD bu...

Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Great expandability for the money. So far works great. Everything is where it should be for the case I used (IN WIN IW-BT611T.300SL)
Cons: The stock cooler that came with my CPU was a tad difficult to mount but I'm unsure if this was a function of the mounting pins or the spacing of the motherboard.
Wish it came with a eS...

Not bad in a pinch
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year Pros: Stable. Works like a charm.
Cons: It's a microATX board. Very limited overclocking, but then what do you expect from a budget board like this. One odd behavior is that when I put it in suspend mode, it can't seem to reacquire an IP address. I have to disable the LAN port and then re-enable it.
Other Thoughts: This board came bundled when I boug...
