Cute, functional and reliable, a little work to set up.
It is ideal for a girl's first MP3 player. Plays MP3 files, not MPEG4. Holds 40 MP3s and 80WMAs. Very cute design. Earphones are good, but are designed for big people ears, if your child is small you might want to buy kid ear phones. We bought her an I-Dog as a speaker to go with it and she loves it. You kind of have to play with the computer a little bit to get those audio files converted to the right format - MP3. Hello Kitty MP3 Player-Doesn't need batteries!
Durability: Fun: Educational: I bought this for my grand daughter who was having her 5th birthday & she absolutely loves it! The only complaint I have with this is..it's supposed to have 1 gb, but I could only load like maybe 10 or 11 songs in MP3 format to it. But so far, it's holding up very well & she drops it ALL the time..LOL. Durability: Fun: Educational: My daughter got this for Christmas this year. It isn't compatible with any "to-go" music service, it is basically a very cheap MP3 player. My daughter generally takes care of her toys and this is already torn up. It is confusing to figure out how to get it to play as well. Now my daughter listens to my old MP3 player and this one has been 'retired'.
