Comes w/janky old earbuds, otherwise LOVE
I received my Shuffle straight from the manufacturer today (took 3 days to arrive to DC from China, according to FedEx tracking). I had to update my iTunes to 7.0.2, but other than that, the device was ready to sync right out of the box. The packaging is exactly the same as the Nano, very efficiently packed, and no install CD.
I'd love to give it 5 stars like I gave the Nano, but my one complaint is big enough to deduct a star: The Shuffle does NOT come with the new, updated ear...

Ideal for a runner
The shuffle lives up to the Apple ads. Extremely easy to use, while very light.
I replaced an MP3 player that I use for running that died, so I was extremely interested in the clip feature. At first I was skeptical that it would actually stay in place -- thought I would have to purchase the armband. I was pleasantly suprised. Great for audiobooks
I have a 20g "brick" ipod that I use 99% for audiobooks. I rip the books from CDs that I borrow from the library. For some reason I decided it was no longer convenient to haul the brick with me on my daily walks so this new shuffle caught my eye.
With no screen, I was worried I'd forever lose my place and have to click blindly forward and backward to find my spot. I knew my 14-year old would be happy to take it off my hands so I took a chance and bought the tiny new shuffle.

Get your 2nd gen iPod shuffle and a set of Shure E2c sound isolating earphones and say goodbye to noise, interruption and tension. I can't believe i bought an ipod...
I picked mine up at the apple store yesterday, and i am amazed by its simplicity and portability. This is the first time EVER i have bought an ipod, and i am quite pleased with it.
I still miss the flexibility of other non ipod players, but i was amazed at how simple itunes was to use, and it was not as restrictive as i thought. the sound quality from this thing was great, but still ins't par with the bigger non-mp3 players, but it was better than my small creative flash player

Incredible and Great Value
This is the best iPod yet. So small most earphones weigh more. No need to spend tons of money on cases and armbands because it clips anywhere. Perfect for the gym since most people dont need to pick and choose songs during a workout and you can rearrange songs on iTunes.

Technically challenged? The ipod shuffle is the gadget for you!
I confess, I am technically challenged. I've held off getting an ipod because I thought I would never be able to figure out how to use it. Well the introduction of this new shuffle and the thought of having all that music in that tiny little clip-on was too much to resist.
Well I got one for Christmas and just looking at that tiny thing was fun. Apple did a great job of packaging it in a nifty clear plastic box. The instructions couldn't be easier and they include a little cheat...

This little sucker is too cool for school!
I love this thing. I don't care that there's no readout - the thing is the size of a friggin stamp! I know what songs I have on it - I don't need to be reminded. Only problem is specific to me: I'm color blind so I have NO idea what color the little light is blinking. I'm used to being clueless when it comes to idiot lights, so this doesn't bother me - especially because this thing fits in my watch pocket!

Look no further...
I'm the kind of person that doesn't care much about flash and gadgets and hype. I have a fifteen year old car, my favorite clothes are my old jeans and flannel shirts and I like a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I'm Won Over from being Totally Uninterested in an iPod
I listen to a lot of music, most of it classical. I review classical CDs here at Amazon. When my daughter-in-law gave me the iPod shuffle for Christmas I didn't even know what it was or what it was capable of. But since she showed me how to use it, how to download into it and the other little things one learns to do, I've become a convert. This little package of amazing engineering is a real jewel. My only concern is that I'll wear out my ears using it.
