Not Bad once you find an open station
I had the same problems as many with it seeming not to work unless I moved it up toward the car antenea. I found a thread that solved the reception issue for me. It recommended using the sirrus [...] open FM station locator for my zip code. After trying a few stations I found one that worked well. The autosearch function on the LiquidFM never found an open station. I am in a major metro area so few open frequencies were available.

Pure garbage. Did they even try this before releasing it?
I owned this product for all of ten minutes. As other reviewers said, the autoseek chose stations with strong signals already on them, which is opposite what it should do. When I finally got it to work, I could only get it to be at all clear by holding my iPod at the roof of my car, since I believe the cable doubles as the antenna. Even then there was more static than I would want. I also couldn't get it to work at all at the higher frequencies, such as 107.1.

Lucky I only bought it for $12, I lost my $12!!!!
Just what the other people have been saying, the autoseek finds the strongest stations, and does NOT work at all. I have had a lot of these types of units in the past, I expect better from a name brand. too bad I thought this would be a good product, I tossed the packaging, otherwise I'd make the trip and return it to Fry's on principle alone! WTF KENSINGTON???

This product is terrible unless you are looking for an expensive ipod charger. If possible you should look for the old white Kensington transmitter. I was very impressed with the orignal's performance until it died - company sent me the LiquidFM deluxe. First of all, the transmitter is too weak to overpower stations, so you get a constant crackle and hiss. Maybe this could work in a rural setting, but if you are near a city forget it. The seek function is also worthless as others noted. I ...

This is just an ipod charger
Buy this product if you are looking for an ipod car charger only. However, I don't see anyone just searching for a charger. Thus I would say no one should buy this item. This product does not work as FM transmitter.
