The case is separate from the belt, which I did not realize ahead of time. The case has a belt clip on the back, which clips to a separate armband. The clip on the ipod case does not come off, but is able to be rotated 360 degrees. Fits my 2nd generation ipod perfectly. It does cover the data port, but has openings for the hold button and the headphone port. The materials are good quality. For the money, it's definitely worth it.

DLO action jacket for Nano
I LOVE my Action Jacket! This is actually my second one. The Gen2 Nano's have a sharper bottom edge so after a couple years of use, I wore a small hole through the bottom corner. It's still usable but I wanted a back-up just in case they quit making this size. I use it while biking, running, walking and just doing house and yard work. Good product
I'm enjoying my DLO action jacket! I'm using it a lot with the clip for now, but the armband fits great. Easy to use the nano through the plastic screen cover.

Not perfect but works for me!
I have a nano 1g. The jacket fits fine - snug but not annoyingly difficult to put on or take off. The plastic in the front of the case is protective but thin enough to work the track wheel. I previously had a silicone sleeve which covered the track wheel, and that was downright ridiculous to use.
