Excellent car charger for ipods/iphone 3g and other devices!!!

So I had an interesting situation one lighter socket and 2 devices to charge. One iPhone 3g and a Blackberry Javelin 8900. I use both and thus they both need to be charged at some point during my long 2 hour commutes.

Great for iPhone & BlackBerry!
I got this because it comes with both an iPod/iPhone charging cable and a mini-USB charging cable, and both can be used at the same time. Since my wife has a 3G iPhone and I have a BlackBerry Bold which uses the mini-USB connection, we can charge our phones at the same time in the car. And if any phone needs it, it's the iPhone! The best part is that this is $10 less than the same item at the Apple Store. Thanks Amazon!

Eye Piercing Blue LED an Annoyance at Night
I purchased this item so I could charge my iPhone 3GS and a Motorola Bluetooth ear piece simultaneously.
It appears to do this job fine.
My primary complaint is the Eye Piercing Blue LED. This LED should have been red. The blue LED is an annoyance when driving at night.
The product is manufactured in Communist China.

Not for me
I have a number of products that use regular USB to charge. In particular I wanted this for my Samsumg Omnia mobile phone. For whatever the reason, this won't charge my phone. It lights up so I know it has power but the phone won't charge.

Excelent charger, no flaws.
I rented a Dodge Caliber to drive from Fl to VA and I needed a usb charger to use my 120GB Ipod and my Tom Tom 720 at the same time. This little gadget made my trip very enjoyable. This charger kept my Ipod and GPS connected for HOURS without a single problem. I connected the audio jack from the Ipod to the radio aux and BINGO! great music to my ears!!
Sorry to hear about the Audi guy, but no problems at all in my car.

Audi owners beware (needs large amount of clearance)
Saw this and thought it was the perfect charger that I could use to charge my iPhone and TomTom at the same time. Alas, it is one bulky dude....
My lighter socket pops up out of the ashtray in my Audi, and there is not enough clearance to get it into the socket. If you have an aux socket with limited clearance, keep that in mind.

Beware Garmin users
A description of this product I found elsewhere touted charging your iPod/iPhone and powering your GPS at the same time. I bought this to charge my iPhone and power my Garmin Nuvi 200. Sadly, my Garmin thinks it's connected to a computer when I plug it into this adapter, and it goes into that mode (i.e. useless for navigation). I plan on calling Belkin to see if they have any recommendations. Otherwise, this is now only a relatively expensive, basic, yet functional, iPhone charger, for me.
