Perfect for those pinpoint quick clean-up jobs, especially around a pool !
We live in So. California with lots of cement decks and brick hardscape in both front and back. We also have a fairly large pool with many bougainvillea plants constantly in bloom.
Having used both a gas powered blower (too strong an airstream) and an electric in the past and not wanting to take a chance on dragging the electric cord thru the pool, we really wanted something that could pinpoint the stream a little better so as not to blow half the dust and leaves back in the water. So good I bought another one!
This is a wonderful tool! I live in an oak forest & have two decks, two flights of stairs and a big concrete patio which runs the length of the house (with a screen porch) & a smaller brick lower patio. Spring time means pollen and tree blooms, and Fall means leaves and acorns. Two batteries with this blower gets the whole job done with juice to spare. Total time to do all areas is about 15 minutes or less.

Battery charger
This unit comes with a poor battery charger (FS18c ) and if the battery under charge is weak, it will disables the charger. Black and Decker has a superior charger ( FSMVC ) which shows the status of the battery under charge and it does not die no matter how weak the battery might be.

Great for light work
If like me 1 hour after clearing the yard you have a bunch of leaves by the door again, this product is great. I clean my yard with a large regular leaf blower, but what do you know minutes later there are always some more leaves outside my door. This unit is very light and easy to use, i just blow away the leaves from the door every morning and it works great, no more walking broken leaves into my kitchen. Excellent Product, Extreamly Satisfied
I got this B&D Electric Broom on Sep-09, 2005. I have a heavy use of this machine in my front and back porch and so far it's been working excellent. it came with two batteries and when fully charged , they usually lasts for 15 minutes each, so i get 30 minutes of brooming time which is more than sufficient. This machine is explosively fast while it skittles the leaves and even rocks.
I am very satisfied with the product and would recommend the same to any one who is considering buyin...

Works pretty well and I have all types to compare
I read all the Amazon reviews before I purchased and despite many negative responses, I am quite pleased with the blower. I have two others a Gas and an electric/corded, but I have a pool inset into the woods and getting out the Gas for a quick daily leaf clean up, is just a hassle since it only takes about 10 minutes to blow off the daily leaf collection. The corded I simply did not want near the pool. This cordless, fit the bill. I get about 8 to 10 minutes on each battery. I think if I were ...

A Great Cordless Blower
This blower has lots of power. I like the fact that there are two batteries so you always have a fresh one. I also like the fact that you put the batteries in the charger, not the blower itself.

One year later
I have a medium-size suburban house sitting on about half an acre.
In the past year I've used this to:
-clear the walks after mowing and/or trimming,
-keep the garage floor swept out (great especially in the fall) and
-clear off my deck in less than a minute.

Exceeded my expectations!
This is a great little cordless blower. So light that my petite wife loves to use it, and so powerful that I love it. Each battery lasts at least 10 minutes--enough to do my large patio and garage. The battery is easy to insert into the blower and into the charger. This blower sure beats my former cordless blower, and is a lot more convenient than my corded one. It would be perfect if it also had a "low" setting (for tight places, etc.)
