Got this at a great price. Free shipping. Ordered on Sun. Got it on Thursday. Best video ever. So sharp and clean, colors are brillant. Gaming on Xbox 360 fast and on the PS3, its the best gaming ever. Going to 1080p, is like going from 800x600 to 1920x1200. Its so much fun to watch tv in HD. Excellent TV, but . . . .
I agree with all the positive reviews on Amazon about various sizes of the Regza, but if you need to use closed captioning, you might want to read Freiwil's review of the 46-inch Regza at Toshiba REGZA 46XV645U 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black He is correct in saying that you have to use the cable box's closed captioning option because CC is not transmitted through the HDMI cable. Problem I got with Toshiba TV
I had a similar experience as PS "PS" had. My 52" Regza got thick black vertical band after 14 months and became useless. Repair cost quoted exceeded a new unit price. I personally will stay away from Toshiba TV. A local service technician told me it is a common problem with Toshiba LCD panel. It is a shame because I loved my Regza so much and I would have recommended it for everybody if it did not fail so soon.
By the way, GE extended warranty only paid small fraction of replacement cost....

will fail within 16 months
Regza line by Toshiba is defective and cannot be fixed for a reasonable price. This TV will cost 4 times its purchase price in repairs. Having purchased 2 of them recently and witnessing them both fail within 16 months I can safely conclude that this line is not worth the money. One TV was quoted $1600-1800 to repair(original $749.99) and the second was quoted $2,500-2,800(original price $949.99).

You can't beat the price and performance...
This TV is everything I was looking for and more. You can't get a better TV for the price; you can hardly get a better TV by paying more. I have a good friend who paid twice as much for a Samsung LED TV, his picture quality does not match the Toshiba.

Other Thoughts: Don't know what other reviewer is talking about, I can connect my PC to the Db15 at 1920 X 1028 works great!
But I have a DVI to HDMI cable for my PC so I can use the multiple HDMI connections.

toshiba 55" Regza tv
We replaced our 55" Toshiba rear projector tv with this 55" Toshiba HDTV and it's everything that we had hoped for. The picture is beautiful, the sound is great and we just couldn't ask for a better tv. I also feel that purchasing through Amazon gave us great confidence that the product would be as expected! The price was great and the delivery company was amazing!

Great Picture, features lacking
Tech Level: somewhat high

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Lots of picture options, many inputs. You can fine tune just about every aspect of the picture. I was impressed with the sound from the T.V., probably the best LCD T.V. audio wise.
Cons: No 1080p PC VGA input and can't play HD video files from USB port or SD card.
Other Thoughts: Toshiba needs to work on...

What's not so great: Wish I had another one.
