Fantastic TV
I did a lot of research prior to purchasing a flat screen HDTV and found this one to stand alone. Consumer Reports compared this TV to a comparable Sony and Samsung (LCD's) and beat them both. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.
I would recommend that any LCD or Plasma TV you purchase be professionally tuned for optimal viewing, although out of the box the TV performs exceptionally well.

Amazing TV
I spent a lot of time reviewing different big-screen HDTVs. When it came down to buying one, this is the one I wanted because it had all of the right specs. I liked the full 1080p that most plasmas don't have. I also liked that you could see it from a wide viewing angle, unlike the rear projection sets. Boy, is this a great TV.....
We ordered this TV from an Amazon partner, and it arrived well-packaged and in great condition. We set it up and it's about the best TV picture we've ever seen. Really black blacks, no problems at all with fast action. Sharp, crisp picture with excellent realistic colors. No glare problems from room light, unlike our previous TV. Fits very close to the wall with no issues, opening up a ton of floor space. We're very glad we bought this!

Purchased on Monday, Watching on Saturday
First, kudos to Amazon and Eagle for the efficient delivery process. I ordered the TV on a Monday, got a call from Eagle on Thursday and had it out of the box and in my house by noon on Saturday.

BUYER BEWARE!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have a similar Toshiba 47LZ196 that I paid $3499.99 for in Dec. 2006 that is just under 1 year and 2.5 months old and the panel ($3400.00) crapped out on me. After being informed by multiple Toshiba reps that I was in the window to receive assistance I was informed NOTHING would be covered and I was responsible for the cost of the part and repairs. What a joke for a higher end flat panel. One year and almost $4000.00 down the old crapper. Such a shame since I really liked that tv.

Seeing red with motion blur
Everything I read stated the Toshiba REGZA was a good purchase. It only took a few minutes of viewing to realize that either my set was bad or the TV was over-rated. An obvious problem with red bleeding through light colors, especially white, was impossible to remedy. I tinkered with all settings and was not able to keep the red out. Screen defect appeared two months later
I purched this tv two months ago. Nobody scratched it. I only have one good daughter who's always very gentle and never went near the tv. But some marks appeared since last week that looked like an airplane right in the middle of the screen. What more can you ask for?
Fast delivery, one week from order to delivery. Arrived in excellent condition.
This is a great tv at an excellent price. The picture is fantastic on all channels I pick up with my Cox cable subscription. It's difficult to tell the HD channels from the regular channels, they all look super.
There is a 120hz model out now but I can't imagine it has any better picture unless you've really got the vision of a hawk. Buy this one and enjoy it, the price can't drop too much at l...

Great
We have had the 52HL167 for about a week now and it is fantastic. Last sunday, took it out of the box at half time of the morning NFL games, and the HD picture was awesome. We have it hooked up with a HDMI cable.
We have seen no motion blur at all and no green push what so ever. From reading the AVS forums, I think sept 07 builds and on are okay with green push.
Of coarse SD isn't the greatest. It depends on the channel. But everything is watchable.
