Took my time selecting a TV, glad I did. Great LCD set, read on...
I would be the first to complain and I don't write reviews to rave, this is unusual for me.
Incredible Picture, bright, lifelike color representation. Without mentioning a word most everyone that watches the TV comments on how great the picture is. Almost hard to believe. I have another relatively new LCD (Samsung and Samsung DLP) and a Plasma (Panasonic) set. HD programming on this set makes HD on the others look like Standard Def.

Words cannot describe how happy this TV makes me
I love this tv. It is aesthetically pleasing. The visuals it produces are great. The motionflow and cinemotion make watching dvds, even old dvds, a totally different experience. Videogames are awesome. Good to go 5 minutes out of the box. Since its a sony I know if something happens to my TV, like dead pixels (knock on wood) i know that sony customer support will take care of me. no flaws i can think of with this tv. I hope it lasts 5 years +

Excellent LCD with overall ease of use
I bought this TV in June 2008 and have found it to be an absolutely great buy. I bought my at RC Willey. Yes, I read the CNET review and the reviewer marked down the TV because of the dark shades changing. I looked at this in the store for several minutes and have lived with it for a month and have not noticed that problem at ALL! This is my first HDTV and this one fits my budgets. Both picture and sound quality are great.
I was comparing this one with Samsung 650 and Sony XBR4. XBR4 is very nice, but with $800 more it is way over my budget. I like the contrast on W4100 better. I believe XBR6 will have same contrast ratio or even higher, but price will be definitely much higher too. This is one excellent LCD. I would not hesitate to buy again.
Ive owned 2 rear projections that had good pictures and one 32 720p LCD but this Sony 52W4100 LCD TV which is my second LCD. Im just blown away with the picture quality features and price. As far as the sound there just TV speakers that have good quality but when I watch a good movie we always use our stereo system. Your pictures are even better with the HDMI connections and the best part is in the evening we dont have to close the blind when the sun sets no glare on the screen from the sun.
