Great choice
I spent many moths reading up on LCD and Plasma HDTVs and visiting every local showroom multiple times. Also reading all the posts on AVS for every TV of interest. I had held of purchasing a TV because I felt the 120Hz sets were likely to be the first ones I would consider due to motion blur. I purchased the Sony Bravia KDL-52W3000 52" TV from Amazon.com after reading reviews that this TV is as sharp as the XBR's and the Samsungs. I've heard and have personally experienced problems getting parts from Samsung. Even under warranty, you dont want to have to wait weeks for parts. Beyond satisfied
This TV meets or exceeds all my expectations. I've owned smaller LCD HD TV's before from other brands, along with viewing friend's TV's. But this TV is superior in every way from the others. In HD it of course has an excellent picture as any TV from any brand should have. But a few positive surprises were: 1) Viewing angle. Love it, Love it, Love it
I don't know how Amazon manages such excellent and fast delivery, but it's amazing. As for the television - couldn't be happier with it. Did a fair amount of researching and hesitating but this was definitely the way to go. Looks very sleek. Crystal clear picture. Would buy it again 100 times.

As one that used to believe that 480 and 720 Televisions were perfectly ok, let me be the first to state how wrong I was...When my wife and I finally received the Bravia (shipping horror story to follow)and hooked it up, with great ease, we turned it on and placed "Nature's Colors" in our PS3 (both purchased from Amazon!). Being the happy owner of a 52' Sony projection set, I was skeptical about whether I would be as satisfied with this LCD. I am amazed at how much I was missing without even knowing it - the picture quality is amazing and I couldn't be happier! The setup was almost too easy - I kept expecting to have to call someone to help - but I was able to do it all myself. If you are in the market for an LCD, spend your money on this set. It's worth it!

Got HD? (Sony KDL-52W3000)
Strengths: Razor sharp 1080p and 1080i, wide viewing angles, vivid "Live Color Creation", many connectivity options, anti-glare screen, excellent value.
Weaknesses: No 120Hz refresh rate. No LED backlight illumination.
Summary: Buying a large screen LCD TV online can be daunting. Luckily, I've gotten a great holiday deal from an online merchant back in Dec. 2007 and CevaEagle Global delivered it quickly and without damage.

Sony - made in Mexico?
I have had the TV for about a week and the picture is amazing, especially in 1080 broadcasts. The only frustration is waiting for the full HD/Digital turnover in 09'. After watching 1080 broadcasts, it's difficult to watch normal TV. The upconverter works seemlessly and DVD's and DVR shows look wonderfu, not sure how. I would like to get an HD or Blu-ray but don't want to make the move until the prices come down.

After careful consideration, we selected the Sony KDL-52W3000 because it had by far the best picutre combined with value. We did not like the design of the XBR series but wanted similar technology. Bought the KDL-52W3000 in January 08 and was vey impressed with the picture quality and sound especially.Within 5 month developed 1 horizontal line of dead pixels about 1.5 inches long right in the middle of the screen.
