Awesome! Five stars, for sure.

First LCD TV
This was the first LCD HD television that I purchased and I found the Sony to have no faults (purchased 6/2008). I love the 3 inch depth and light weight (about 57 pounds).
The set up was easy and the screen viewing wonderful with any media thrown at it ("rabbit ears", cable, blu-ray, DVD, XBOX, Wii). There is no glare and you can view easily from an angle. 4HDMI and multiple component ports made for a no fuss addition of extras.

A combination of bests (in product quality and buying experience)

If you are looking to buy a Sony LCD larger than 40" for less than $2000 this is as good as it gets.
The picture clarity is simply awesome (even with an HD antenna), with no motion blur and good enough speakers. It looks sleek and smartly designed with minimum waste of space.
I picked Sony over Samsung because I liked it better after weeks of staring at LCDs in many stores. I picked the Z-series over XBR because I didn't feel the XBR was worth the extra...

Great TV, although some added options aren't worth as much as advertised
I have been very happy with this TV and for the price that Amazon offered you couldn't beat it. At first I was concerned about the quality of the picture, however Sony defaults to having a lot of extra picture features turned on. For me they work better when turned off. I recommend adjusting the following.
1. Turn off Cinemotion - made normal TV difficult to follow as it forced odd panning.
2. Turn off Motion Enhancer - also caused odd picture distortion.

Excellent TV!!!
How can anyone give this LCD less than a 5? The picture is the best!!! I love this set. I first owned a Mitsubishi LCD for two weeks before returning it because of lighting issues. I also returned a XBR5 because of the stupid fan noise. This set is not being returned. I love it. The picture is so smooth and the audio is more than acceptable. The picture is much clearer than even the XBRs in my opinion. There is simply no TV that is better at this time. Its beatuitul!!!

Best in it's class
I have had a Westinghouse 1080p 42inch monitor for a few years and have really been pleased with it. However, with the new features on the market (120hz, 24p, etc) I was ready to upgrade. I initially ordered a Samsung LN46A550 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV. The picture was actually really good on this set, but the glare on the case was VERY annoying. Highly recommend this TV
This TV is absolutely a dream to watch. No blurs. Watching golf or sporting events rocks!
I was not a big TV fan, but now I love watching all the details this TV presents.
One thing I really enjoy: Watching DVDs.
This TV autosenses when you are watching regular (non-blue-ray) DVDs and somehow enhances the picture.
My understanding is that it delivers the movie in true 24 frames per second.

This is one of my favorite tvs out on the market right now normally i would choose plasma but my room just has too much light for it. And with Sonys ACE i dont think anyone can really ask for more. Sure you can compare this for the xbr8 that isnt even out yet.
