Fantastic Sony TV
I'm not an expert by any means, but I really have enjoyed this TV. At 1080P and 120HZ you can't go wrong with this TV at the price. I've had it a month, and so far no problems at all. The HD picture is awesome, and the settings you can change are vast and varied -- so you can customize everything. There are plenty of HDMI hookups, and it works very well with my Sony Home Theater system. I know that alot of people will say that Samsung is better, but I really prefer the Sony design over the Samsu...

Great LCD HDTV for the price
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I have been looking at many local retailers and all over the web for a good deal on this model. I found Amazon to have the best price ([...], no tax and free shipping). The Auto-Contrast issue has been resolved. I think this unit was patched prior to shipping so I haven't noticed the problem past owners talk about in their reviews. Great picture quality and color for a non-LED HDTV....

It's lovely
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) We've had our Bravia for about a month now, and I am glad we bought it. Images are just a pleasure to watch. I had a little trouble with the setup, but the help available at [...] was all I needed. We have a Wii hooked up to the TV and it works great. Also a DVD, and we have connected a PC to view our vacation photos on the big screen.

Good, but Flashlighting and Popping sound when changing channels
After researching I was between the V5100 and Toshiba XV645U, both 40 inch models. If we could have found the Samsung S630, we might have bought that (similar to the S650 but without the screen as glossy). We got a good price on the television plus a S360 Sony blu ray. The combination price was the deciding factor for us to buy as we were on the fence between the Toshiba and Sony.
For the V5100 forums noted the following problems, Auto Contrast issue, flash lighting, and popping so...
