HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL!
PIcked this baby up today brought it home hooked up the PS3 Xbox 360 and Wii turned it on the set up took about 45 seconds. One word five syllables UNBELIEVABLE! Tested it out with Planet Earth blue ray it was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than my old Hitachi 1080i projection tv. Smokin good I could count the hairs on a freakin monkey. Great TV (no, actually BEST TV), Great CEVA Service
I was initially taken aback from all the 5 * reviews at amazon. So I went to BestBuy (at Day & then Night) to check this out myself and compare this with Aquos (which I was leaning towards). I was actually SHOCKED!!

Believe all the hype
Like many of you, I did a great amount of research and "eye-tests" at local shops. I had a 50" Sony rear-projection set (720p/1080i) that had service me well for 3 years. I thought the picture quality was pretty damn good on this set, and wasn't sure if upgrading to a newer TV was worth it, or if it was even going to look better. Best picture, best value!
Just picked this LCD up and the picture with HDMI cables is unbelievable. My wife is even amazed by the crisp clear picture. The full HD and clear glass makes it appear to be 3 dimensional. Full recommendation. Sound is very good but once connectedto a home theater system it is over the top. Excellent tv.
Just got the tv hooked up today . the picture and colors are excellent.brI had my eyes set on the sony 52 xbr4 or xbr5 . Ive always bought sony electronics but i talked to a few sales person in different stores and they all recomended the samsung 650 52 better picture and color .and cheaper then sonybrand got a real good deal on it.

ON OFF problem
I have recently had the misfortune of purchasing the Samsung LN52A650. There is an inherent problem with the model I purchased, which is the television turns on and off repeatedly in rapid succession. This obviously renders the television set useless. It was impossible to fix this problem on my TV by downloading the suggested update becuse the television will not power on long enough to load the update.
