Bad backlight bleeding, crappy UI
When watching in a dark room, there's massive backlight bleeding, meaning there's big white-ish areas in the bottom left and top right. The color is of course completely washed out in those areas. Going to try exchanging it first, in hopes that it's just this unit. Typically this type of thing results from shoddy design, though.

Great Picture! Great deal right now.
What's great about it: Picture, skin tones, tweakable, slim!!!
What's not so great: Clouding and flashlights, dynamic contrast
"The bad- unfortunately the unit I received suffers from clouding and flashlighting, particularly in the upper corners. This is really only apparent in dark scenes at night with the room lighting down a bit. Sadly this was enough to ruin the experience for me as that is how I tend to watch movies.

After much research, about 6 mos worth, this is the HDTV I selected for my anniversary gift. It is all and more of everything written about it! I am amazed at the picture, clarity AND it was pretty darn easy to set up!

Outstanding HDTV !
What's great about it: Very Thin, Great Blacks, Great Colors, Sharp HD and SD images, and Classy Looks.
What's not so great: Weak Speakers (No Bass). Needs fw 1003 update for more uniform screen.
