buy this tv!
everyone should buy this tv. by far this tv has the best picture i have seen in a 37" television. This is my very first lcd television so i may not be the most experianced with these types of tv's but i did my homework and went to every possible electronics store. Super Mid-size Performer
The 37" set is ideal for a small den or living room. It does not dominate the room until the set is turned on and its unbelievably clear picture makes you feel there's a window on the world. It exceeds the performance of our plasma 41" Panasonic, which itself is above average.
The sound is excellent as are all controls. Extremely pleased with this set.

Wonderful TV
I am so happy that I bought this TV because it is just outstanding. I did a lot of research on numerous TV's and was not totally satisfied until I saw this Panasonic Viera S1. I was planning on buying a TV with 120 Hz but the S1 handled fast motion very well. To summarize, here are the pro's and con's.
Pro:
Horizontal viewing angle
Great standard def. compared to other LCD. Amazing high def.
Blacks comprable to Samsung unless really off angle
Clarity/sharpness

Great TV
I spent a lot of time deliberating over whether to buy this TV. Since it costs $100-200 less than comparable TVs from Samsung, Sony, and Sharp, I thought there must be a catch. Eventually I decided to take the risk and purchased it, and I am very happy. The picture is outstanding - I have absolutely no complaints about this TV. It looks at least as good, if not better, than any other HDTV I've seen. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great HDTV
Bought this TV based on my great experience with my Pany 58" plasma. Not many reviews on the S1 as of yet, however, older model Pany LCD's had good reviews. This was the 4th tv that I purchased for the family room, which included a Toshiba 40" lcd (not Regza), a Vizio 32 lcd and a Vizio 32 plasma. The first 3 were returned and this one is a keeper.

Finally a great tv
This purchase was my third attempt to find a tv for my bedroom. My first thought was to get something inexpensive so I tried a Sceptre had to return it because it did not work. My next tv was the 37" Toshiba. The picture was ok until I had it calibarated then it was not so good. I returned that and decided that I would go with quality. I've had this tv for almost two weeks now and have not had any problems with it so far. the picture quality is outstanding when it is connected to hi-def tv channels. standard-definition channels also look great on this television. the tv does have some glare in rooms with windows but does'nt seem to be very problematic at all so don't let that be a reason not to buy it. It's An Okay TV at a Good Price
I bought the Panasonic 37in TV in July. I also bought a Samsung 46in 650 back around last Christmas. I think if I had never bought the Samsung, I might have liked the Panasonic. But quite frankly, the Panasonic pales in comparison. I think my title sums it up for me. The Panasonic blacks are not that dark and the picture is not near as crisp or stunning as I had hoped. Great for gaming
I got this TV specifically for gaming and there is no motion blur that I noticed. That's pretty much all I was concerned with and this TV performs great. The PS3 with an HDMI cable is positively breathtaking, the 360 with the standard component cables is equally gorgeous and the Wii at least looks a little better although the high def really shows off the system's limitations.
