Awesome Monitor at a great price
I too purchased this at a club store for a discounted price ($219 with a coupon) and it is truly a beauty. I use it at work for documents mostly. Do not be put off by the earlier review's comment about text--it is perfectly fine and the text is actually sharp and easy to read. Took five minutes to set up, and I'm back to work right away. Excellent product, and ViewSonic's reliability is well known.

Pros: Mega Real estate, Nice Bright color, (A bit too bright out of the box) No dead pixels. 3 year warranty. HDMI is nice for future use. Excellent Monitor at a Great Price
I purchased the ViewSonic VX2433WM from a warehouse retailer for an extraordinarily low price, which made it irresistable!
This monitor has vivid, crisp colors and is excellent at displaying graphics and video! By default, it is exceptionally bright, so I adjusted both the contrast and brightness to about 50%. This is a very responsive monitor with no ghosting present. It also came with zero stuck or defective pixels, which made me very happy.

Loved it but had to return it anyway
This was the best monitor I ever bought. The picture is crisp, colors vivid, etc. The only minor gripes are:
a) The blue power LED on the front is too bright. I had to cover it with something for viewing the screen in a dim room.
b) The 1920x1080 resolution is fine for movies but is vertically challenged for normal computer use. For example, my 1600x1200 20" LCD monitor can fit more text on the screen (and is vertically taller despite the lower diagonal measurement) and is...

Superb Monitor

Pros: No Dead Pixels, got it from a B&M store. I was skeptical of getting it since there was no reviews yet regarding input lag, but took a chance since the specs were just what i wanted. Input Lag was anywhere from 5ms - 20ms tested, with an avg of about 12-13ms. (that means less than 1 frame skipped from Computer to Display). That is awesome for a LCD. 2ms GTG means FPS's play awesome without ghosting....

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) For the price, this is a pretty good monitor. However, by spending just a bit more, you can get one that is much better. Viewsonic was once a name well known in CRT circles, sadly their LCD's especially their new 16:9 cut an inch or more off the vertical space TN panels just dont measure up. I suspect this monitor is using a chimei lcd panel. I would recommend you avoid this panel and look at an Acer LG or Samsung instead.

Bad contrast ratio, pathetic on screen menu, bad sound
Got a brand new one from Costco. I planned to replace a Dell 19" (1905FPW),a 4 year old monitor.
Right off when I plugged in, I saw the difference between the Dell and this monitor. The contrast ratio of this monitor was very bad which made colors appear washed out and text hard to read.
