Great Big Monitor
This will be very short because I just bought it yesterday and set it up last night. Samsung must have heard the complaints on the stand because connecting the stand consisted of lining up three little pins and tightening a wingnut type screw. Very simple. good monitor horrible stand install
Like others have said, installation of the stand is a joke. The instructions consists of a drawing showing the two stand pieces fitting together and then snapping into the monitor base. What they don't show is a 250 lb man struggling and putting all his weight on the stand to snap it in. The Samsung engineering dept really blew it! Bad batch of monitors - horrible customer service
BUYER BEWARE!!! SAMSUNG HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE INDUSTRY. I purchased this monitor in August 2008 and within 3 months it had a bright pink line going down the middle of it. I was 4 days past the 3 month warranty so Samsung would only give me a refurbished monitor. The replacement arrived and the on/off and menu buttons only worked intermittently. Pros: The gloss black curving bezel looks great. This monitor matches the looks of my LNT-4053h 40" LCD TV I bought in April 2007.

What a mistake...

Pros: BIG and Bright. Colors are OK...but just average. They don't really pop like the 3 year old ViewSonic VP912b I replaced.
Cons: TERRIBLE viewing angle. Really looks like an old-school laptop screen like another reviewer stated. Just awful. The first Samsung product I have ever been disappointed in. This is going up for bid.

Will not display ATI Demos!!!!!

Will be returned tomorrow.
I've fought with the thing until sweat poured off me, and I cannot get the monitor onto its stand. I've looked on line and learned that those who succeed in doing this lubricate the rubber gasket - well, I'm not doing that because then I would not be able to return it. I'm going to buy a monitor with height adjustment capability, and it won't be a Samsung product because this was my first. And last!

Pros: Well all I can say so far is Newegg has great customer service.
Cons: LCD monitor was DOA.
Other Thoughts: Takes to long to get a replacement sent out? Had no problems getting RMA, but my charge card is charged and I'm going on 2 weeks with no monitor.

Base installation is a joke
Samsung 2433BW screen might look good, but I will never know. The stand installation into the monitor was, for me, impossible. I read reviews online after buying it and failing to get it inserted into the monitor that said to be forceful. I've got base stand imprints on my hands. It still never "popped" into place as they claim it will.
I am returning it on Saturday. I can spend my $377 on a better monitor. My SyncMaster 2253LW 21.9" monitor was easy to install and is great. I thought...
