I use a pair, daily
I use two of them hooked up to DVI ports at their native resolution and these 61-year old eyes have no problems. Major application is text. I could have used VGA port, but decided to add a duplicate inexpensive 128MB DVI card.
Windows XP dual monitor support is built-in and works like a champ.
Great for watching two auctions at once, or NASCAR real-time race stats while blogging about the current race.

Very nice
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: I was back and forth for a loooong time with deciding on going from CRT to LCD, but I finally decided to go for it when I saw this deal and it's been good ever since. I was most afraid of ghosting, since I play a lot of games, but there's no ghosting at all. The colors are just right and pictures are crisp.
Cons: ONLY thing I...

Bang for the Buck
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Price, I have not found any WS monitor for this price. No dead pixels. Only took a minute to set up. Bonus includes a DVI cable. No power brick! Transformer is built right into monitor so no brick hanging around.
Cons: Could have adjustable height, but for this price this is minor.
Other Thoughts: Now I...

I love this!
Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week Pros: Wow, going from a 17" CRT detho ray tube, to this? Its awesome! Gaming with it is the best. No dead pixels, no ghosting, its crisp and clear, definatly a great buy, DVDs look really great on this.
Cons: The stand doesn't really seem cheap to me, but when I move it, the grips on the bottom do their job, yet the screen will bounce a tad. I suggest lifting up the monit...

Great Monitor at a Great price!
I just purchased this monitor and have attached it to my pc. Let me say I am so greatly pleased and impressed. This is a fantastic monitor. The color quality is amazing, it's lightweight and works perfectly. You also can't beat the price for the size of the monitor and the fact that it's a LCD flatscreen. Acer did an amazing job on this monitor and anyone who buys it I think will be just as pleased. Top Notch!

Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Great monitor, extra bright, had to turn it down quite a bit. No dead pixels!! Very satisfied
Cons: Good luck trying to register with Acer. The company wants registration but will not fix their website to handle required data. I ran into a block and no way out. With a 22 digit serial number this can be very aggravating.

Great for the $$$$
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: For the money, looks great. Once you go widescreen you will not go back. DVI connector. Not a single dead pixel. CHEAP. Bright. Three year warranty.
Cons: Stand is not very adjustable and feels a little flimsy. Wish it did 1680x1050.
Other Thoughts: I had to buy this at a different vendor because they were the only one that had it at the time.

What's your viewpoint ?
Everything went smooth with this transaction. Normal delivery, well packed. Arrived in good shape. I've had it about two months. Absolutely no issues with the monitor or Amazon on this one. Make sure you understand that this is the widescreen format for monitors. It's rectangular with the width horizontal to your view. The short dimension is the height, as you look at it. It's much different than looking at the mostly square "normal" monitors. Highly recommended and a good price too....

Poor Support
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Good color.
Cons: Very bad support from Acer. Sent one in for repair and came back just like I sent it in. Called again but with no luck. Acer said they could not or would not guarantee that it would be fixed next time. So long Acer.
Other Thoughts: Newegg still ROCKS!!!!

Will never buy ACER Monitors again !!!
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg Pros: Nice to the eyes. Sharp.
Cons: We ordered few of these monitors in the last year as a computer business. Most were returned either DOA or after a short time of use. Technical support RMA is awful !! You get a refurbished ones back and they are DEAD or half functioning (Analog works DVI not) upon return. Wrote to headq...
