Other Thoughts: Work for a couple weeks before usb could not be recognized by either computer.
Buy somthing better. I can't see wasting your money on this. Should last at least one year for your money.

Works fine for video

My wireless keyboard-mouse combo won't synch and I'm not using the audio, but the rest works fine. I can switch from the work laptop to my home system easily. Used a USB cable extension to make the manual switch of keyboard-mouse connection easier. Staples wanted about $70 for the same basic KVM switch, so for $30, I'm more than willing to do one manual connection and have the video sharing that I was primarily seeking.

Very useful, Very INexpensive

Admittedly I was dubious. Other KVMs on-line ran from twice to four times the price for the same functionality. Was also unfamiliar with the use of a single USB output cable for both kybd and mouse. Intended system was Linux RH. Everything installed easily and worked fine out of the box. Use on Linux does not allow for hotkey keyboard switching but I was not looking for that convenience item in the first place. Less cables less clutter.
