Ok, but not for everyone
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg.com Pros: It switches keyboard mouse and monitor like its supposed to.
Cons: It does not come with an AC adaptor, It is an optional accessory according to the manual that isnt really optional. If the device u connect it to does not provide enough power through the VGA you cant switch monitors if u dont have ps2 cables connected. So for example for sw...

Great KVM
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg.com Pros: Easy to install, easy to use. Does what I need it to.
Cons: The cables come from all directions, making it hard to set it on a desk, however, it works just fine under my desk with the hotkeys
Other Thoughts: Great KVM for your money.

Ok for the price
I got this one for my office use.I have got a replacement for a defective one.Now it works ok.But not upto my expectations.I feel its worth the price i paid for.I have looked around for other KVM switches and almost everyone told me that they are not completly satisfied with their switches. If you want looking to use it continously for everyday needs then i do not recommed this.

Small but a bit quirky
The only bad thing about this is that if you have the switch on computer A and boot computer B, (or visa-versa), sometimes the the freshly-booted computer's mouse and/or keyboard don't work. Similarly, if the one computer goes into standby while the switch is focused on the other, you may have to reboot the computer (via the power switch) before it will respond again. Other than that, this is a nice KVM. I like the short cut --> scroll lock-scroll lock-up/down. I have another KVM that has...

BF2 Dedicated Server //// Gaming PC
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg.com Pros: No noticable effect on highest video settings while gaming. Mouse & Keyboard response time are superb. Very high quality cables are included with this product. DC adaptor is not needed for PS2 inputs.
Cons: Hotkeys cannot be changed. (Scroll lock + up arrow)
No DVI-D adaptors (only D-SUB cables)

Worked for a Day
Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg.com Pros: Inexpensive (cheap)
Cons: Cables are a too short, should be 6' long. Connectors on all four sides, hard to place. After one day the Pc1 monitor part of the switch quit working. I will be replacing the switch with another brand
Other Thoughts: With two 20" monitors sitting side by side and two tower cases on eith...

Getting Outdated?
Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: Cheap, packaged with cables and it doesn't require its own power supply.
Cons: The beep is too loud when switching between PCs! It doesn't recognize my mouse's scroll wheel on the second PC. Searching the web I see this is a common problem that can be ""fixed"" by resetting the mouse each time you switch.
Other Thoughts: I've used TrendNet products before and ...

Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg.com Pros: Does it's job.
Feels study and decently built.
For the most part compact, and easy to use.
Cons: Does NOT come with an external power plug. It uses the PS/2 ports power. Meaning you can not just use it as a video switch, you must also have the other plugs plugged in.
The external power supply is 9v 500ma. And you have to buy one seperately...
