Laserjet does its job
This toner cartridge is for the HP 1012 (and others). As fas as toner goes, this one lasts a long time. I use it often and for heavy duty printing, including resumes on resume paper, term papers for school on high quality laser paper, and websites, which usually contain images that come out in black and white, using up more toner. Excellent toner cartridge for an excellent printer
We have had the printer now for over a year. We do a lot of printing on it. It is absolutely the best printer we have ever had and works quietly with this cartridge. Our environment is not kind to electronics. The print is crisp, the cartridge lasts a LONG time - about 2800 sheets and no noise.

I prefer compatible
Its good, but I prefer the q2612a as compatible and not original. I bought it at Inkjetsuperstore for $27. Nice deal, and it performed better than the expensive hp original.

HP profit center
Last 12A cartridge leaked toner. Not good. Didn't last very long, either, though that's just more perception than anything else. If there was a God, He'd introduce the concept of competition into the toner cartridge business... best way to reduce the high costs, without resorting to "remanufactured" cartridges.

Compatible toner catridges no comparison to original - learned hard way!
I have tried TWO HP laserjet compatible toner cartridges for my HP Laserjet 1018 and both were substandard and had to be returned for a refund to different companies. One froze my printer as soon as I put it in. The other printed unevenly. I now will only purchase ORIGINAL HP toner cartridges for my machine.

long lasting and easy to use
HP makes great printers and this cartridge provides long use and easy installation. I found after about 6 months of steady use that the toner was running low. I got another month of use by removing the cartridge and gently moving the cartridge back and forth to re-distribute the toner. I was able to get hundreds of extra copies before the well ran dry. A good value!

Not a product where you expect surprises...
... and none are found here. If this is the right toner cartridge for your printer, you'll find it works optimally, is easy to install, and even comes with an easy system to recycle your old unit. HP is a good company.

Don't buy this item.
The HP toner cartridge is fine, but Amazon sells the identical cartridge as a generic, exactly the same when compared side-to-side, for around 20 dollars. It's time to end HP's monopoly on expensive sales. Get the same thing for much less, and recycle your old cartridge.

Ink Cartridge
This particular cartridge seems to hold up well and produces nice quality prints. When Ink powder does get low after many copies you can remove the cartridge and give it a shake or two and it is good for more prints. I have never counted the number of prints from this Cartridge...that will depend on individual setup and use. It certainly produces many more than the standard liquid ink type. I may cost twice as much but produces about 4x as many prints.
