It is ink

It's replacement ink. It is black. But as usual with any replacement cartridge for any printer - they don't seem to last for a darn. These guys are into making money. Not on the printers, but on the consumables. Can't they give us a decent amount of INK in the darn cartridges that are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced for the STUPIDLY tiny amount of ink in them?

I replaced the black ink cartridge in a CX9400fax with a new Epson 69 cartridge. It worked for one print job, but the next day the printer would not recognize it. Since an Epson printer does not recognize an Epson cartridge that is specified for it, I guess both products have to be considered trash.

Cost Effective?

My major gripe with Epson ink is not quality but cost per letter. I had a four month old Epson CX9400 that drank ink and wore out in no time. I chucked it but kept the cartridges to use in the Epson Workforce 600. The Workforce 600 is head and shoulders superior and does not use nearly as much ink. The drivers do not force me to use letter quality. I have purchased replacement ink and reusable cartridges from Ink Nova through Amazon and wait to use them. I like the idea of cheaper ink and r...
