Good yield toner cartridge
I thought these toner cartridges were awful and overpriced. our office was going through these things like Little Debbie Swiss Roll Snack Cakes. That was until I started actually researching toner cartridges. At the current price of this cartridge, the yield is $.01 a page. Compared to the Ricoh business class printers with their toner cartridge yield of $.014, this is cheaper, and the printer is much less expensive.
These cartridges are also cheaper than the regular Brother TN...

A Trick to extending yield 33-50%
This cartridge will disable your printer once it (the cartridge) tells your printer it's empty. The cartridge has a window that is closed (blocked) by toner. This window runs through the cartridge from one side to the other. When the toner is full, the window is blocked, when the toner is seemingly empty, a laser is able to shine through the cartridge one side to the other thus signaling to the printer to shut down for cartridge replacement. Low capacity fixable, some may be defective
I was disappointed to find out that the toner cartridge stops working before the toner has run out. However, by obstructive the toner window on the cartridge with masking tape, the remaining print capacity of the cartridge is dramatically extended. I will leave it up to you as to whether you want to implement that solution or not.
I had another issue with toner build up on my drum unit from one of my toner cartridges. The problem was fixed by changing out the toner cartridge.

A Great Toner Cartridge, A Very Poor Choice for Spacefighting
This cartridge works very well and lasts a LONG time if you are printing with it, but it DOESN'T work at all as a cold fusion power unit in an Yrolian space fighter. It can barely push the gravitronic stabilizers, much less feed the 45GW phase-pulse laser capacitor banks.
Get the TRAM-89 "Volken" cold fusion powerplant with the vent-blade cryocooling, instead. Save this cartridge for printing only.

Pros: Newegg Price is better then retail stores like office depot...
Cons: I work out of my house and do alot of printing. I printed about 10 reams of paper, or 5000 sheets with this toner before it died. But its rated for 7000 sheets. Whats up with that?

GREAT PRODUCT
I do alot of tax returns that have lots of graphics. When I used an HP printer, I went through about 5 toners in a sesaon. I've only gone through one TN580 this year. Plus the Brother HL-5240 is much faster than anything I have used in the past. VERY pleased.

Pros: This high-capacity cartridge will save you money. Plus, Newegg's price always better than your local office store.
Cons: Even though this saves you money, toner is still around 1/3 price of printer it goes in!
Other Thoughts: If you have a Brother printer that can use this toner, then it's more economical to buy this high-capacity toner cartridge ...

This cartridge lasts twice as long as the smaller one, and is only a few dollars more in money. Extremely well worth it! And the price through Amazon is about what the smaller cartridge costs at local office suppliers. I've purchased this cartride a couple of times now. Flawless process....perfect product.
