Pros: Easy setup. If you're familiar with Onkyo receivers, this should be easy. Plenty of connectivity. Plus, it sounds great and has the power you need.

Cons: Not really a con. I own a TX-SR-805, which has 130 watts a channel. There's a noticeable difference between the two.
Would have liked to had 7.1 audio inputs like the 805...

Onkyo TX-SR707 vs TX-SR507 which I replaced.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I originally purchased the Onkyo TX-SR507 and was unhappy with it.. I thought it would be the right model because I only wanted 5.1 support and that model also had the universal port for the Onkyo iPod dock.

Great Value and Good Performance

Feature packed receiver with very good performance. Upgraded from a three year old Onkyo and the new support for TrueHD, etc., made this a valuable upgrade for my system. I'm using it in a 5.1 speaker configuration and the sound stage and depth on some Blue Ray titles is simply awesome. Try Master and Commander's first battle scene when you get this receiver installed, it will make you very happy at the value propopostion.

Very highly recommended.
